New sub! LOVE all the changes you did with your kitchen. We've custom built and renovated numerous homes. One thing we have done wirh the kitchens and bathroom vanities is send the doors out to be professionally spray painted. I then painted all the trim and changed the hardware. This makes a HUGE difference. The professional spraying costs a fraction of new cupboards, looks like brand new doors and is ultimately more durable than regular painting. It's also a lot less work.

What a great idea!! My husband sprayed ours but it took SOO long…so much prep, and sanding! 😬 It was cost effective but we’ll definitely leave it to the pros next time! It seems we learn a few tough lessons with each renovation! Thanks so much for sharing! Also, welcome! So glad to have you here! 🙂

Beautiful makeover. We are looking to upgrade our kitchen. Unfortunately we are starting with very cheap cabinets and they will need to be replaced as well as the countertop. I need help in the design as well. Not sure how I can keep the cost down with all the updates required. You have given me a few ideas. Keep them coming😊

I have to constantly paint the item i get that say black but when you take them home and look them over they are oul rubbed bronze or something.

What do you do when you went with a trend and now realize it was a mistake? I have light grey flooring slate grey cabinets in my kitchen and the rest of my house is more rustic so the modern look of the kitchen doesn't fit in really. I jumped on the grey everything bandwagon and now wish I hadn't!

Oh, I’m so sorry to hear that! I wish I could come help!! It’s tough to say without seeing it but, in general, I would suggest trying to balance things out by bringing some of those rustic elements into your kitchen (think cutting boards, wood bowls, bar stools with similar wood tones to the rest of your home). I would also bring some of the grey tones into the more rustic spaces, using things like throw pillows and wall art. Taking into account the fixed elements in your home, I would try to create a color palette that could pull it all together. I think greys can pair beautifully with the warmer tones!! Pinterest is great for finding inspiration. For the grey floors, rugs will be your friend! I hope you’re able to make some tweaks and get it to where you’re happy with it! 💕 Thanks for joining me here!
