The best content on WordPress and server setup on the internet right now... Precise, concise, and to the point. Wow!
Nice tutorial. You have opened my mind to understand certain things about WordPress. Thanks so much. Video was so helpful
This is really helpful. Thanks for this
Our Air Force pilots who fly B-52's have a 23-point pre-runway, pre-takeoff checklist. They are all typed out on paper. What Tony lists here is a solid WP "pre-launch" list... of things that you might otherwise miss. Prior to watching this, there are two or three things I would have missed, and which might have caused problems. Thanks again, Tony, for your generosity in sharing these terrific, hard-earned insights. You're a generous man.

No worries!
I have been watching youtube learning videos for 15 years and I really appreciate the work you put into your content with the transitions, editing, and concise explanations. It really bothers me to watch a 15 or 20 minute video when it could have been boiled down to just a few minutes. Although this is only the second video of yours I watched (because I just started learning wordpress), I will be viewing your other videos! Keep up the good work, you found a new subscriber!

Hey Tony, thanks for getting me started so elegantly in the WP world (that I always tried to avoid in my 25 years of building websites, haha). Short question: After my fresh install of WP exactly how you show us here, trying to do step 8 (favicon), I can't see anything else in Appearance than Themes and Editor. Has the Customize option moved somewhere else in the later WP versions? Or should I revisit this after installing a new theme? Thanks again - keep up the great work! 🏝😎🏴☠
Very good video. 👍 I think step #1 should to clean out the defaults: Theme, Posts, and Plugins, etc. In other words, start with a clean slate by getting rid of the clutter.

Question would you be able to just build my site & help me maintain it secure or private on private server?

hey tony can u do a tutorial about setting up email server for a subdomain of a main domain without changing the nameservers

I don't think it's possible to set up an email server without touching the nameservers

@@TonyTeachesTech i mean when we use mail gun we don't change our nameservers to mailguns nameservers we just add the records that they give us (which are a few txt records and a mx record)

W3 Total Cache didn't work so well for me. I can't remember what the exact problem was but I remember it was a super pain in the butt... It crashed the website and I had to get tech support help to fix it... In the end I reversed it out and used Light Speed Cache instead which played alot nicer with everything. @@TonyTeachesTech
Your last advice was to not have no more than 10 plugins installed at a time on our websites. Im using a more complex stack with Buddyboss and creating a membership marketplace. I have 90 plugins. Do you think this is too much for my project/stack?
@TonyTeachesTech
2 жыл бұрын
That seems like way too much. How is your site's performance?
@Apollo_GodMode

@@TonyTeachesTech my sites performance is smooth the only slow part is loading the installed plugin page on the admin backend. I run a VPS AWS EC2 openlitespeed server to accommodate for my heavy complex stack. With a lot of CPU and Ram
