15 Hungry Raccoons Chase And Kill Animals Fearlessly

Animals like raccoons can be considered hunters. Once they have their prey in their jaws, they will rub it between their front paws to identify what kind of food it is. Have you ever seen a raccoon eat a crayfish? What about an iguana? If you want to watch raccoons as you’ve never seen them before, you’re at the right place, so let’s get started.

Raccoon Vs Fox
A night cam shows a fox challenging a raccoon, but the raccoon is much bigger than the fox and isn’t intimidated one bit by the fox. If a fox and a raccoon got into a fight, the fox would likely come out on top. Most raccoons that foxes would confront are no match for their size, speed, and strength.
Foxes are formidable predators because of their stealthy nature and because of the huge, sharp fangs they have evolved with, but that doesn’t mean a raccoon could never outsmart or win against a fox. This fox attacks a raccoon during a night ambush and the raccoon is making a lot of noise. The chase is on, but we’ll never know what happened because the video ends.
Raccoon Fighting
In the event of an intruder, especially a dominant male raccoon, a raccoon colony will resort to fighting amongst itself. Depending on the severity of the attack, one or both animals may suffer life-threatening injuries. When defending their territory, raccoons are known to battle until the intruder flees. While kayaking, a man came across a raccoon on the edge of a river. It was rubbing its head and screaming, almost like a barking sound. While watching it, another huge raccoon appeared on the other side of the river, jumped in, and swam over to the injured raccoon. An epic battle began. The huge raccoon realized the man was there at the end and went towards him.
The man backed up, down the river a little, and the raccoon went off, back across the river. The man could hear him walking around. The man assumed he was waiting for him to leave to go back and finish the other raccoon off. These raccoons study one another before engaging in a vicious fight. They almost look like professional wrestlers in the way they walk in circles before they clash. This raccoon attacks a young raccoon in a backyard. You can hear the baby raccoon yell, but that doesn’t stop the bigger raccoon from assaulting it. The raccoon kills the youngster and has it for dinner.

I had a cat of about 26 pounds that wasn't fat and he took on two raccoons at once hitting them on the head going back forth hitting the one on left with his right paw and hitting the other one on the right with his left paw while neither front paws touching the ground and it lasted about 8 hits each on them until they ran off the deck!!! He also beat up a fox, possem, dogs, cats and a goose!!!! We all knew that Gruffy was a freak of nature as fought until he was 18 years old and lived until he was 21 😼👍

A pair of Catahoula Hounds or Blue Ticks will either kill or tree a racoon. Out in the country that does not work well for the racoon. The farmer will switch out the rock salt for buck shot. BUT in the city the coon runs faster than the human with a baseball bat. That is why coons and coyotes are common in cities.

Racoons are the one critter that will go after my dogs out here on the ranch. In 3 years I've removed 38 trash pandas from my home. 11 in the first week. It was all out war when I found every bird feeder, water feature & hummingbird feeder smashed by coons one morning. Today, live racoons are a rare thing to see at my Texas ranch house. They know death awaits them near my house. Don't get me started on the damn squirrels...

I wish they would have gotten that memo about my shop. They keep coming back, so they'll be getting a hollow point reminder about their housing choices. Nothing like coming to work on a Monday to find my desk & work area covered in ceiling tiles, urine soaked insulation and raccoon shit after they crashed through the roof. For an added bonus they also shit all over the shop, drug themselves through it and then jumped on every table they could find. Add about 15 more costly disasters caused by them and despite being an animal lover, I'd have zero issues hunting them into extinction.

Dam, I did not think raccoons were this versatile and aggressive! I put dog food and scrap food outside for all the animals around here, but only 2 days out of 7, so they don't depend on it!! I know a cat lives close by, and I get deer, Coyotes, Fox's. I seen a racoon eating the dog food, then a cat comes along and scared the racoon off until it realized it was only a cat. I've got a Husky and Jack Russell. I looked out my window one night and seen a Coyote that looked identical to my red/brown coat Husky, minus the blue eyes, I couldn't believe how similar they looked! I do bring the dogs in at night!

Most animals of a similar size to cats generally leave them well alone. I live in the sticks and we have foxes. They would certainly kill a cat if it came to a fight but there's easier food to be had. That raccoon is likely fighting with the cat for another reason than it sees it as food. A cat will inflict serious injury on a raccoon and like a fox, it's just not worth the trouble.
