The tip about hitting multiple rocks is genius. I noticed it happening occasionally but I was not able to replicate it consistently so your footage explaining it is really helpful. Also I cutrently have the soy milk quest and was not sure if buying it would be worth it so it is nice to know I will make a small profit. Thanks for the awesome video Ellie! I did exactly the same!! I noticed it happening and then did a big investigation to work out how it worked. It’s so useful for speeding through the different explorations levels. That’s so lucky!! Thanks for the tip about the crew location finder! It took me forever to find everyone even though I read the advice email you get to check the profile, because I thought the tip was to check where their living quarters are - but of course they won't be there most of the time.

Really great tips! I had NO CLUE I could add stone to the furnace 😂 I’m in Q2 day 10 and have been waiting for the machine blue print to make stone composite! Also didn’t know about the microbe machine in the science lab. Is there a museum or library for gems and other things? I’ve been hoarding them thinking one would unlock

I'm not sure yet how to upgrade the watering can, because I don't want to forego watering my crops for several days (inconvenient and I'm unsure if they'll die). In Stardew Valley, at least you have to only wait one full day and you can pick a rain day...

Update: I tried it now and it works as anticipated. The crops stay dry and won't grow, but they won't die either. If you hand in the watering can after watering for the day, they will go unwatered for two days (else, three). I didn't know there were watering bots so that was good to know too! For my gameplay style, it was worth waiting the 2 days because I have tons of plants and even now that I've unlocked the robots, I won't have enough resources to automate it all for a while. Being able to water 3 plants at once definitely helps with the daily chores.

Does anyone know how to make fabric from “jute”?

Yes! You need to buy the seeds from the shop and grow Jute. Then you can put it in your fabric machine 😁

How do you use the Microbe Detector?

You need to walk around your ship scanning. If you’re need a microbe a yellow circle will pop up with a direction. Follow that direction and you’ll hit green and find the microbe. Then it’s like a rhythm minigame and you have to tap when the shrinking ring is in line with the darker coloured ring. If you do it right, it’ll say perfect or good. Then just keep doing that until you’ve caught the microbe. There’s a bar at the top that will fill up, but there’s also a bar at the bottom that empties too. Thats the best way I can describe it 😅

Does anyone know how to move an item once it’s placed? I put the light in my bedroom but not where I meant to place it 😢

You have to place the cursor on the thing and click the left side of your mouse to move something !

On Steam deck, it's possible to get a moving mouse by clicking the right joystick, I saw a note by the developer in the Steam community forum about it. I struggled with taking the broken picture frame off of the wall and that did the trick for me. Moving the character removes the cursor again.

You can sell them, but I'd keep at least one of everything in case you need them later. Some are good as gifts too, but tbh early game money is so tight I've been ignoring that part.

With artifacts and gems - am I supposed to sell these or save them? They're hard to come by so I really don't want to sell them if I open a museum later or something lol

Sorry! You should get the microbe detector is when you leave The Grey Planet! It was only Day 16 for me because that’s when I left
