me too :( but also- it is just a game. As long as we’re having fun, we’re doing well. And most of our islands don’t look this nice. Takes a lot of time and planning.

Try just starting with a small section of it! I started at the top right corner and have been slowly making my way through section by section. Don't aim for perfection on the first pass; as you go, you'll probably think of more ideas and go back and improve what you've already worked on. Also don't forget that it's YOUR island and it does have to look as fancy as other people's islands. For me, most of these are way too cramped, busy, and hard to navigate. Mine has a more spread out feel so I can easily catch bugs, chase down balloons, and just generally traverse from one side to the other. It will never be as intricately designed as the islands shown in this video, but it feels just right for my play style. Steal ideas when you see ones you like, but ultimately focus on how YOU want to play! Don't pressure yourself to have good designs; as long as your island is functional for your play style and looks good to you, then it's a good design!

Plot out their houses with fences around them, that’s what made it easy for me. I have 3 in each little neighborhood and then my house on the tallest cliff 🤟🏻

Only critique on this: I'd have liked to see the maps. The video was great though. Great content, and great locations.

Buying a Switch and ACNH to still be watching Island Ideas while my island is still in 5% progress after a year was the best thing

I always plot out the houses with fences. Each house has that cute palm tree lamp in their yard, a little garden with a Lilly of the valley in each yard and two stone lanterns at their entrance 😊

I wanna make mini neighborhoods for some of my villagers who have the same aesthetic, this video inspired me to put Stitches' and Bob's houses together in a little rainbow playground :) When I get the Sanrio amiibos, I wanna give Chelsea and Sherb their own cafè too, complete with Sanrio furniture ❤❤

I make a little walkway to the resident services to make it seem bigger. I put two waterfalls on either side with little ponds, then two diagonal bridges to get to resident services on either side. Decorated the cliffs of the waterfalls with my Lilly of the valley plants and Halloween decorations!

I love these videos to remind myself how terrible I am at design

I swear I can’t be creative with this stuff. I’m jealous of how people are so creative

This is helpful to a degree. I literally just started the game for the first time about a week ago and I’m slowly getting the hang of things. I have this very nostalgic, cozy vibe I’m growing for, like I want the island to have that sense of “calmly listening to Lofi music and coffee on an Autumn morning” you know, kinda nostalgic vibes

Coming from someone who’s down time is around 1am-3am I never really see my island during the bright sunny days it’s nice to see island examples at night because most of the time when I look at island ideas it’s in a sunny setting not the night one and that’s the only time I see my island, thank you!

Thank you so much I am a first time player and am so early into the game that resident services is still in construction to be an actual building instead of a tent. Thanks to this video, I have so many future island ideas that I have taken notes of. You just got a new subscriber!

The only thing with these neighborhoods is that there is no place to roll a snowball in the winter and finding and digging up fossils. The more stuff on the ground the harder it is to perform some money making activities.

Agreed, a lot of these highly manicured islands feel pretty crowded

I like to have all of my fruit trees in orchards together, it really helps plot a neighborhood! And I always put up fences to plot out where their houses will go 😊

Hi lex! Sorry I haven't sent the drawing yet, I've been really overworked with school and really needed the time for relaxing. I had 13 new assignments just last week which is insane compared to the normal 6! I'm also going to be painting the final draft so that may take a bit with different coats but I should be done in a week or 2. Also my island is almost done so I can't wait to finally submit it for a tour!
