If you want to play with shaders in caves from the Alex's caves mod without visual lags, just turn off "Realtime Shadows" in the shader settings, but for example, in bsl shaders you can separately turn off "Block entity shadows" without turning off everything at once and it should work

Fore me, I really don't like the toxic caves or any related mobs and items. Just not what I am looking for in my game and the magnetic ones have some features I like but most that also clash with what I want in my game. Vanilla+ with some magic (ars neova+fire and ice) and limited technology (immersive engineering).

Man you really bring back the lost art of mob showcases keep it up :D

Alex's Caves is one of those rare mods that feels higher quality than vanilla Minecraft without overshadowing vanilla content or trampling on the game's artsyle.

Loved the video @Noxus! Can't wait for the next video man! Alex's Caves, Cam's Better Lights, Let's Forge Pirates, Sully's Mod and Decorative Bottles are Definitely one's to look at, especially when people have Let's Plays on Alex's Caves. I've seen the Older Versions of Weather, Storms and Tornados on @Sbeev's Channel for his continuing Hardcore Survival Series which is now going into the Interstellar Age. He has a Weather Deflector as part of his base to keep it from being torn apart by Tornadoes, and will even let him know if there's a Tornado in the area.

To be fair, if C&C would have this much content, Mojang would have to split it into more parts than the 2.5 parts we got (including half of The Wild Update). The complete C&C update that we got from Mojang took nearly 2 years.

I was trying to make my own mod with a similar effect to the Abyssal Chasm from Alex's Caves. The only thing I couldn't understand how to do is to make the biome generate in a natural way. But, I had this cool custom effect where the water would get darker as you went deeper, and eventually it would close in around you and everything would become pitch black. I liked the effect, but the only issue is it was a bit weird since it only worked based on depth, so while you were above you could still see straight down perfectly, and it only got dark as you went down, which was odd. The only way to solve it is to either create a custom shader, which is super complicated to do, or to just spawn a ton of semi-transparent particles, which would be laggy. Either way, the biome was super scary even just in my testing. I made the water level go all the way down to bedrock, so there was this huge open area of water that got super dark as you swam down.

noxus how do you do this camera effect? Do you use the Replay mod? but it only works up to 1.12.2 forge . Please tell me how do you do this?

Mekanism weapons is something I am really looking forward to, Normal Mekanism does have some good weapons but in terms of ranged weapons to really make you feel like you're some kind of genius inventor is quite limited to an electric bow or a flamethrower that admittedly needs a beef up as it's fire speed is a little too slow for my taste, and the range is low even for a flamethrower. I'm curious to what new things that will be added in the future, a handheld version of the laser is one that I and a lot of other mekanism fans have been wanting for a while because let's be real, lasers are only useful for either the fusion reactor which i just skip because I'm reserving polonium for the Supercritical phase shifter, and a few Unit upgrades for the mek armor. I don't care if it's not powerful just flying around and going Pew with a laser will be very satisfying. Plus mekanism lasers have tractor beams and stuff like that so a handheld laser could also be used as a mining tool.

i remember playing sins mod once . it is true terrifies especially while play hardcore :)

Don't use the Tornadoes one if you use Mine Colonies, or if you build any kinds of structures. I lost a colony and a base to a Tornado and immediately uninstalled it lol

Caves are rare,so ya'll need to exploer 20000+ blocks,you need to watch videos about this mod

Some things from Alex's caves actually mimic the vanilla style pretty well, so it's close to -vanilla+- vanilla-styled. Edit: Of course it's not entirely vanilla-styled: The toxic caves, for example, aren't vanilla-styled and are a bit out of place in Minecraft, but you can easily disable them, and many other stuff in this mod lies on the edge between the vanilla/Mojang style and the "modded" style, so if you stretch the definition of "vanilla style" enough it could be considered -vanilla+- vanilla-styled. Edit №2: I think the terminology I used isn't entirely correct. *Vanilla-styled* is a more appropriate term.

​​@@kalahatze Well, they are pretty similar to vanilla ones. They use basic cube shapes and most details come from the beautiful vanilla-styled textures. Alex caught the vanilla style so well, even the craziest features feel like they could co-exist with Minecraft animals in Minecraft dimensions, unlike many other mods. If you played with some older Minecraft mods, you should know what I'm talking about when I say it's one of the most vanilla-styled big mod out there.

@@Yegor_Mechanic Vanilla+ doesn't necessarily mean "vanilla style," it means "similar to the base game." Alex's Caves' art direction is the same as vanilla, and the features could be ones added by Mojang, but since it such a drastically different expirience than vanilla it can't be vanilla+
