Right. Battah means duck in Arabic. Battutah is loving way in which one calls the young one of a duck....young one of duck does not know where to go in water, on its own. It just keeps on wandering depending upon the current of water.

Wonderful presentation 👌👌, Nikhi ji ! In Dubai, a shopping mall named Ibn e Batuta at Jebel Ali area. Ibne Batuta travelled 32 countries in 29 years started in 1325 from Morocco to China. Mall covers his full journey of Ibne Batuta beautifully.During the shopping at mall I got much more information about this great traveller.

Tangiers (In Arabic, the Moroccans call it Tanjaah. Tangiers is Anglicized form of Tanjaah), ibn Battutah's birth place, is honeymoon capital of Morocco, right on the edge of Bahrain (meaning the point where two huge bodies of water meet each other, Bahr means ocean, Bahrain means two oceans/seas). The water bodies being, Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean sea merge with each other. And one can actually see the merger of these two water bodies across from many points in Tangiers as the densities of both the water bodies is different forming a water barrier. It is on the northern tip of Continent of Africa and one can see Spain (Iberian peninsula) continental Europe across on the other side from Tangiers
