I've been on this track In Gran Turismo 5... I still play that game on my PS3!

The R92CP is one of those cars where you simply have to hold on for dear life and hope to hell you have enough downforce. (5:34) ...or drift like a mad man, holy crap.

no thats the dirty air when youre still split streaming a car on a turn. you lose the downforce from the air because 1. the air is being pushed up by the car in front, that means no air to force your car on the ground 2. you are picking up disturbed air by the car in front that the car isnt supposed to handle to generate downforce to turn quickly, thus the oversteer

@GT012345tube The GT3 trio was R390, GTone, and 787B. Gt4's is what I said. The three i mentioned are much more powerful than both of the ones you mentioned. But I do like the 787b and jaguar just the same.

I got a slightly different number. I did the calculation based on when the race technically started, which was roughly 13.55 seconds at the frame of freeze. The end of the race occurred at 8:57.511 which was the total of the three laps including rolling start. I subtracted the rolling start from the overall race time, and that number came out to 8 minutes, and 43.960 seconds. Each lap at the old Mulsanne circuit is 13.626 km, thus 40.878 km is three laps. I used an online calculator with that information, and the average speed came out to a truly blistering 297.92 km/h, which also converts to 185.12 MPH.

@@badbooking3221 i get a different number (roughly 281 km/h or a bit less than 175 mp/h). here my calculation with your given information, step for step. when i did an operation (like mult. * or division / ) i did it on both sides, so that the relation between distance and time is preserved. DISTANCE TIME 40.878 km 8.733 min (this would be 8 min 44 seconds) -> divide both by 8.733 4.68 km 1 min -> multiply both by 60 280.85 km 1 hour This makes 280.85 km/h. I hope i didnt do any mistake but it should be correct.

It's not the ps2 version, it's a pc mod. The quality on ps2 was worse and there isn't a cockpit view in the original game

Out of all the more challenging driving missions, this one was one of my favorites. 😁 It was challenging, and very fun. Loved driving the R92CP, R390, and Toyota GT-ONE.

WOW! I truly miss playing this game back in the days!

After some training with the previous missions (I'm looking at you Plymouth), this one felt somehow easier to be one of the last missions of 3-lap battles lol

One of the finest drifts and a great recover. I made one in the same place but not that long. It's nice to go back to and thinking, was I that good? GT4 is here to stay, no matter what the graphic nerds think 🍾

Ah, Gran Turismo pre performance points, back when you could monster the opposition without restriction. I miss it!

It's strange I noticed every car go after gt one will face a dramatic situation like Porsche gt1 and clk gtr and now at 5:33.. There's something fishy about gt one maybe the aerodynamic back and rear wing let a lot of air pressure go through it and that hit the other cars like a cyclone making them flapping into the air.. Anyway, nice laps..

A&S Video Channel the car punches a bigger hole through the air than the other cars of its era so it creates almost a wake like resistance in the air, like a speedboat going down a river, other than that the cars of that era had pretty shitty downforce
