A rectangular shawl - longer and with all the width - in the same colors would be a very graceful piece. Keep up the great work, I'm really enjoying your channel.
KZread suggested one of your videos and now I can’t stop uncovering that mysterious patterns with you! Thank you!)
Ahh crochet roulette! This would be a fun crafting party "game"
My grandmother would incorporate the cut ends of yarn from the color changes into the fringe. She was 13 when she married in the 20's and since her mom taught her to crochet I'm sure she was taught that too. She had to teach herself American terms as she was taught a single crochet was our slip stitch, a dc was our sc, and the treble was a dc. She hated crocheting with thread and preferred yarn and I do a lot of thread patterns.

@@JillyMae89 My grandfather was 21 and upset that they asked for proof of age and didn't ask my grandmother. She was close to being 6' and my granfather was around 5'6".
This is adorable! Looks like the perfect scarf for my grandma ❤️

I think so too.
The scarf is very pretty & I like the colors.
This is the prettiest scarf I've seen in a long time! Imagine what this would like like in a mohair, with more rows, as a wrap (and much longer, of course)! So delicate.
This turned out beautiful. Please put the fringe on the other end, and it will be perfect for the neck of your jacket or blazer when it gets chilly.
I LOVE YOUR MYSTERY CROCHET VIDEOS!!! Thank you for sharing.
Love the Mystery Crochet pattern segments!
That’s a very modern looking scarf from 1877, I just love it.Perhaps they make a smaller finishing length because crochet will stretch.Keep up the great work I so look forward to your videos😊🙏🌟🧶
I think it's really pretty, especially with the colours and type of yarn that you chose to use. Might look good as a curtain too.

It's a beautiful neck scarf! Thank you for another mystery well done.
The way you had it draped over the mannequin at the end makes me think it could be turned into an amazing racer back beach coverup/festival top :O
Hello Corrina this scarf is so cute, i like the colors you choose Thanks for sharing.
Dainty and beautiful. Love your color choices. I do agree the one row by itself is nice and would make a nice cuff or collar. Shout out to Justin👏👏.
I reckon it stretches on blocking and wearing. It's lovely and your colour choices divine.
Very pretty.
What a great project!
Been eagerly awaiting this 😊 I love how natural you are with talking to us

I wish I was as skilled at crochet as you and many others. I didn't apply myself to anything beyond the beginner patterns and now my hands are eaten up with arthritis and surgeries. I actually like his pattern and it might be simple enough that I could do it. It is a spring/fall scarf if you ask me as it wouldn't be all that warm, but sometimes you do want something light and airy.
Wow another mystery pattern. Your scarf turned out so pretty. It would look nice as a table runner too ..

It's beautiful. I would definitely wear it as a 70s style headscarf.
Hi Corinna. Ta-Da mystery solved and worked, stunning and classy. Ms. DR Watson skilled at dissecting patterns. Thanks
Each time is exited what is in the end !!!! Surprise
I love it, I just finished it and it's a very modern, light spring/autumn scarf. and thanks for the great video. a wonderful example from 1877. thank you miss jane weaver, too. 🥰
❤what a wonderful way to wake up!❤
I love that scarf.!!
So pretty! And with all the open work, it would go pretty fast. I wonder if they meant 39" for each half of the scarf. That would make it really long but that's how i like mine. And you could continue and make it longer for a cute wrap. Oh, the possibilities!
I use to wear a variety of scarves year round. I do believe that this a good one for me start again. Tyvm for this mystery pattern.💜🖤💜
hiya! i agree, a tablecloth would be fab!
I love your color choices here. And the finished piece is so light and airy. Judging from the original illustration-its relatively narrow width, plus the density of the fabric-I suspect that the scarf was meant to be worked with a much smaller hook, like maybe a B (1mm). That would make it warmer, but not necessarily prettier!
Also, big thanks to Justin for picking some amazing mysteries to put into the bowl of yumminess!!! 😂
Great pattern, love the color combo.! Again, another versatile pattern - I see 1, 2 or 3 yarn weight, with more rows for a summer shawl, or a 4/bulky weight with less rows, for a quick winter scarf, with longer rows. Possibilities are endless.! As always, thank you for sharing your time, and love of the craft and history.! 😁😍🤍

Great idea!
this era suggest that the scarf should be a "floof" of color like the bigger skirts of that era to, that's why it was meant to be wider. Its so pretty! and I do like the color choice.
this one was really cute and quite a "modern" pattern, not just in the colors you used but in the construction as well. I'm not sure how it would have been worn back in the day but I could imagine all kinds of uses for the pattern today! thanks for showing us this.
Yay! Another mistery pattern ❤
Hi, nice work. I did watch your videos on the vintage-patterns for some time now and I think you do a very good job in interpreting all those old descriptions. Here I think >>they
Have you ever thought of doing a Q & A live stream? I have so many questions, and chat could help, l love some of their suggestions.❤ Your son could moderate the chat 😊 ... just a thought, sounds fun.🎉😊

It just occurred to me that a scarf like this could tie down a hat perhaps. We've all seen pics of them. Why not a type of ascot or riding scarf for a gentleman? Fashion and one's station were big deals in society back then. I might have to try this pattern before next wk. Awesome designed. Many blessings ya'll.
Before I even watch this, can we crochet that gorgeous kitten 😸 😉
It turned out beautiful! 😊
Remind me again why you go to the back loop with some of these patterns. I am a beginner so i watch for the hints and tips. Love your channel. Thank you for the fun.

That is a gorgeous scarf. Love your colours.
Love watching you work things up. I love crocheting again since I've started watching you. Thanks😊
I really like that one. It's very pretty!
Hello Corrina, Just a little TIP for you and other crocheters (who might not know). If you slip stitch into the ugly edges, you will get a straighter side edge. That way, it's easier to finish with what ever stitch you like. 😉 This was a pretty and easy pattern, I like it and it's a perfect scarf for Spring. I think I'm going with a 3.75 F hook to make this scarf. Thank you for the video, have a great weekend 🧶🧶🧶
I would actually wear this out, so beautiful ❤️
I like it. I’m going to make myself one,
I like that, lovely colours. I is my kind of length. x
Oh, this is gorgeous! I love that you take the time to go through even some basic things, too. I'm still learning to read crochet stitches, so sometimes, I can't quite tell what something was in a previous round -- e.g., chains that don't quite look like the other chains. It's super helpful to be able to watch your videos and pick up on these little things too. I love the design on this one, so I might just add it to my list of things to make at some point! Thank you!

That is really purty, love the colours and I am a huge fan of bamboo and cotton threads, has such a lovely drape. It's somewhat similar to a headband that I am presently crocheting, which also has little beads on the fringe which you tie under your hair at the back - I WILL be leaving those out - can only imagine the trauma of trying to untangle the beads from the hair 😨😨 And now I have to hurry hurry and pack my car as I am going to be away from home for a month (I need a trailer just for all the crochet I am taking with), but I just HAD TO watch your video first 🙄🥰
It's beautiful!

Wow so beautiful! Really enjoy these. Thank you.
I love these videos so much and i don't know why.
The illustration looked out of scale to me (for that time period) but the scarf itself is perfect. (again, for that time period). It's pretty and how it drapes is very nice.
Absolutely beautiful!!❤
Love the colors you chose they go great together !!! Love the detail that would look great as a shawl or border or anything !! Thanks for another great video love it ❤!!!
Isn't that pretty! And so simple. I have a big bag of nice yarn scraps I think I might use to make a scarf using this pattern. Just something to add some color and a little warmth on cool Autumn days, or maybe even for chilly late summer nights. I seem to remember a time when those were a thing, even down here in Texas? Anyway, it might be a good pattern for some cheery color work and won't take much material. Congrats again on your 40K sub achievement! Well deserved. I feel like your content is top notch and should be more viewed. Much love and respect.

Pretty! I would have done the extra row for the head scarf but this was good for just the scarf. I like it!
Wow!! I love this and the colours you used are gorgeous together. You know, using just one single section instead of the five would make an interesting belt to tie around a skirt, dress or through a pair of jeans. I really do like this piece. ❤
Gorgeous scarf! It's so dainty ❤ and I love the colors. I absolutely love this series you're doing!

Just watched it and oh, my, the idea of a tableclith: I have a cke of yarn called Sultan's Shadow. It will be spectacular!
So cute love it
Beautiful. I like it
I always want to run and get some yarn and crochet along with you, but I just can't keep up!
Pretty. One could use a heavier yarn or some cashmere lace wt yarn. Yarn weight here is hit or miss. Unless it's imported where they state yarn wt and yardage, just have to guess at local made yarns. And there are some lovely yarns made here. Honestly, I was thinking this pattern was going to be a valance since it required exact length of 39 inches. Anyway, have a great day.
Very nice stitch pattern. ❤❤❤❤❤
Love these colors together, and the scarf does have a modern look
Liked the colors you chose.
I'd like to try that in a single colour.

Love your channel. I have a lot of old patterns, and try to reproduce them once in a while.
Hi,Cortina. Well I was a bit surprised on that scarf. I had convinced myself that it was going to be a table runner, or a piece to lay across your bed. And maybe have set a doll or something on it. I like the way you use that note stickum, too

Corrina. Darn spell checker.
You my dear are rubbing off on me. I got a kit from a company and It's a shawl/scarf. I got the first row done and started the second. I start saying some of what you do in the mystery patterns. I was saying things like.....this doesn't make sence I'll read it again. Let me rip this out and start again. And finally "Oh that's what they mean!" 40+ years of chrochet and you would think I could figure out a mondern day pattern. I love that scarf from todays pattern. I love it.
Another very interesting video! I love the mystery crochets!!!!
Absolutely love this mystery pattern series ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
Love these toots so fun…you are a real gem!❤
That's a nice scarf, I wish I lived up north where I could get some use out of one. If I may ask a personal question: does Justin crochet? I'm aware he's the one who makes the mystery patterns mysterious with a Sharpie, but I would think that it may require a certain amount of pattern-reading knowledge. More people should be using hooks, it's a great craft on so many levels.
Ooooh i love this!! Might have to give this a go myself!!
