Before you upgrade anymore in power, I’d suggest upgrading your crank hub so you don’t explode your engine. That’s the Achilles heel of the s55 is that dreaded crank hub failure... after that it’s a stout engine and can push A LOT of power.

With +144HP he should immediately upgrade his crank hub! We have a lot a failures with less HP/torque increases in Germany!!!

I thought the crank hub issue was with the older earlier models pre lci s55 M cars the m2 comp is a newer s55 didnt bmw fix the crank hub problem?

Crank hub failure on s55 is not that common with the newer s55s. But yeah one you are doing 600+ it will happen

this is such an overblown issue, the actual number of reports of a crank hub spinning is tiny compared to how many S55s are driven daily

@@xSixPathsofPainx I learned the hard way. The S55 motor is a hell of a power plant but the crank design from BMW was an absolute shame. Went with the SSR Performance hub fix with a couple more upgrades. Hoping to see a crank fix video in the near future on Evan’s car 🤞🏾

Great build love the car. I feel your pain with the traction. My stage 1 m4 has the same issue. I went to the 285/35s in the rear with potenza re71r tires and it made a huge difference. They will still break loose a little with mdm off but more manageable. Good luck.

I got a sensor bypass mod chip for my 2013 Ford Fusion 2.0L Ecoboost AWD and it's amazing how much performance you can wring out of cars these days with their stock engines. This is particularly true of turbocharged vehicles. I wasn't looking to change injectors or fuel pumps, ECU, etc. and swapping turbos is well beyond my means, but a $500 mod kit netted me about 75HP and the same amount of torque and eliminated a lot of the turbo lag, so I'm thoroughly pleased with my choice in boosting the performance of my car. It's just over 300HP now and it's about as much power as I'm ever reasonably able to use when driving due to all of the traffic and prolific police presence in my area. For people with AWD and RWD, 300HP really is the minimum you need to ensure you can always get out of your own way. Also, if you want a car with eminent amounts of grip that can handle having loads of power put down without breaking traction, you've got to get an AWD vehicle. They're legitimately the safest drivetrain configuration, even if the inability to break the rear end loose can rob you of some of the fun of driving a performance car.

You should probably think about doing the crank hub bearing soon.

add aircups to get in and out of steep driveways and to get over speed bumps. Keeps stock suspension and adding airbag functionality.

you can get a 2019 m2 comp for 50k so to have what he has. without install costs, is actually not bad!

You don’t need to upgrade the fuel system on the s55 to run full E85 , You can run full E85 with a tune.
