I really like it Julie. When you revealed it my first thought was a sunflower and then I thought a Dahlia. Either way, it’s really lovely. I like the difference from the middle to the outer rim because the middle looks like new petals whereas the outer looks like petals fully open. You are a harsh critic on yourself. This is a beautiful piece of art. I’d love to see it completed at the clock it was meant to be. A very happy mistake I reckon. 🌼🌻👍🏻🌺🌴

You are really TOO hard on yourself! It is a stunning piece of work.

The center looks like a bloom of irises, and the outside is daisy-like. It may not be what you were going for, but it's still beautiful. Resin does what resin wants, and we are but the (sometimes) lucky recipient of their physics.

I absolutely LOVE the middle!!! Everything you were disappointed in looks so beautiful in its own way. I know the outside petals have that more ethereal look but the pinkish and brown and pale center has an earthy feel that looks really amazing to me!! I was blown away when you revealed it so it was a bit funny that you didn't see what you hoped for. I'm loving your videos :) Thank you for sharing your creativity!

That clock is so beautiful though. I haven’t seen anyone try to make a clock, but you did Julie, and I absolutely love the cheerful colors.

I know you know what you're looking for and think this one didn't hit the mark, but those of us NOT 'in the know' would LOVE that beautiful clock! Trying to get it better is admirable, but don't judge this one too poorly! It's GORGEOUS!

The center petals look curled like a Dahlia blossom. I am so glad it didn’t have that dark brown center. That would have made it look like a sunflower which it isn’t. It may not be what you envisioned but it is gorgeous.

Julie, I feel you are a typical perfectionist. You knew how you wanted it to look and since it fell short, it didn’t measure up. I like everyone else, think it is a happy accident, because like in nature most things aren’t perfect. I get it though, I know what you were going for, so I get the disappointment, but if I was some random person who just saw the reveal and didn’t have the volume on, I would just think, what a beautiful clock!

I still love it, it's beautiful! If you look at the middle part where you added more ink and white at the end it bloomed behind everything. I think you are right with the thought things weren't hot enough but either way it's still pretty and I would hang it on my wall 😊

The secret to artwork is: Don't try to be perfect. Some of the greatest work comes from not ending the way you expected it to. It looks great and you could have given it a fial layer. Regardless, it is still worth having a clock on the wall.

Hi Julie, I along with everyone else think this is beautiful, I love the colours you have chosen. Could it be that one pot of your white resin was thicker than the other and was to heavy, it seem where the part is you are unhappy with was the first pot of white. Still think this would look beautiful as a clock. Amazing piece. 🌸🌺🌸🌺🌸🌺
