Epic robot! If you don't mind answering, what was your reasoning for making a mecanum drive (vesus, say, an x-drive) and how well do you think it turned out? Judging from the footage, the bot seems to be able to strafe and move forwards/backwards quite easily and quickly.

I think the choice was based on build simplicity and to fit all of the other functions in the chassis. Another would be width between each side of the chassis. I think those are the reasons, but in reality, i just went 'ooooh mecanum cool' On how it turned out, I think it's pretty damn good for the first ever mecanum drive for us. The only problem is that the motors cook themselves after a 5 minutes run

How do u get the pistons to shoot out the wheel like that?

Basically, every tile touched by a robot is worth 3 points, and it will only be counted once per team (i.e. if two bots of the same team are touching a single tile, it will only be counted once)

@@seanmoody50 idk what his design is but not using the air for anything else u could just use all the psi in the tank and shoot them out/ depending on how u did it not modifying parts but getting enough power at one time he said he uses 4 2 each side I’ve got some ideas including this idea that (if they work) will be seen later in the season😏
