For example I'm a professional photographer because I sell my photos which puts food on the table and keeps a roof over my head. My wife is a professional writer because she sells her work to contribute to bills. He's already a professional skater because he makes a living off skating (even if it's all youtube). Also, a lot of Olympians are not professionals in their focus. Track and Field stars mostly don't make any money by running, they have day jobs.

in Skateboarding you don't turn pro until your board sponsor makes the decision to turn you pro...... Alex Sorgente (2-time X Games Park Gold Medalist & 2-time Vans Park Series World Champion) isn't even pro yet... he rides for Plan B

Mr Lesir Thats true but only at the comp level. You dont need to go to SLS or the X Games to have a lucrative career in skateboarding. You just need to have style and a creative bag of tricks.

I’m only 21 but these kids making skating about contests and money is whack to me. Personal opinion but if he’s having fun and is making money good for him. Can’t knock the hustle. But doubt it stays this way. Kids gonna wanna be in the streets sooner or later
