Not the intended outcome. Defender grabs face mask of receiver and rips the helmet off and the receiver scores a TD. So the defender got rewarded for ripping the helmet off. Pro tip, rip the helmet off the runner/receiver and the offense will never score a TD.

@@thx1168 Agreed. Let the officials blow the whistle when they think a player could get hurt. In this instance only a flag was thrown and the official closest did not blow the whistle and allowed the play to continue. So that was strange if the rule was the play should be blown dead when the ball holder loses his helmet.

This may be a hot take but Anthony brown actually did pretty damn good tonight the one interception could have been a little more in front but definitely catchable and those deep balls were beautiful an overall good game for him.

@@swelly84 you mean the same SEC that went 0-3 against the big 12? That conference isn't as great as it's hyped up to be... I'm sure Oklahoma will do at least decent. The 2021 season for OU was so crappy because Lincoln Riley is not too great at building up young players, and he was planning to leave Oklahoma, so I doubt he even tried all that hard.

Oklahoma state had a crazy comeback against Notre Dame, Iowa State cut it pretty close with Clemson, West Virginia just sucks, OU pretty much curbstomped Oregon, Texas Tech beat Ms. State, Baylor beat Ole Miss, and Kansas State destroyed LSU.

Im a big 12 fan but i was being objective . Alabama, LSU, Georgia those National champions aren't just chamipoins for a reason. Yes they're are some SEC teams that are not more dominant than the BIG 12. I cant wait to see the result next year with Texas and O.U.?? 🤞🙏 I give credit to Texas A&M years ago they went to SEC and gave big 12 a proud conference after leaving. Most great football athletes come from the south anyways. Texas ,Florida, Louisiana, Georgia etc

Good to hear the A-team announcers for a Sooner game. Usually we get the second or third team announcers and they sound terrible. Jason Benneti has come a long way since he started with the White Sox.

Ethan Downs and Danny Stutsman are gonna be beasts in BVs defense

I'm glad both teams decided to play this game being down so many guys defensively. I work at night so I don't get to watch any LSU games or any other live primetime games. After seeing the first half score I thought there wasn't a point in watching this video the next day until I saw the final score. I'm not a big bowl game guy so I need players and teams I know to intrigue me. This game intrigued me on both points and is the first game worth watching the replay for this bowl season. Hopefully UNC vs USCe is decent enough and Purdue/UT as well. Mich St/Pitt has lost it's luster considering the engines for both teams aren't even playing in it.

This game would have been a worse beat down if Oklahoma defense didn’t fall asleep after they were up big. OUs QB is just in a different league than Oregon. Oregon QB is an average QB with top tier weapons. Oregon needs a great QB if they want to be in the playoffs again. OU has great offers but it’s defense is alway suspect.

Didn't you see the fact that Oregon's defense let the Oregon QB down so much? They couldn't stop the Oklahoma receivers or that RB Kennedy Brooks. Brooks won MVP because he's a good back and because Oregon's D couldn't stop him to save their lives.

If Anthony Brown played in the first half, like he did in the second half, this would have been a game. Not to mention the fact that the Oregon defense was down 14-17 players. I felt the defense performed admirably given the circumstances. Good game either way!

Yes Ou has a few duplicate numbers but never on the same side of the ball. They will either play defense or offense

oregon just comes out flat in big games this year. plus i think the all white uniforms are cursed.

Oregon's season was over after MC left, I think Knight was more worried about getting new coaches than some meaningless bowl game where most of the good players on both teams opted out.

Man. Oklahoma has so much potential to be a great team. If they could find a way to truly fix their defensive handicaps and play under a dedicated coach that actually disciplines their players, they could actually be a national contender. Good riddance to Lincoln Riley. He was decent at leading a team with veteran players but he absolutely SUCKED at building players from the bottom. I'm going to laugh so hard when he fails at USC. The Pansy ran to the Pac-12 out of fear of going to the SEC. He claims it was all for his family, but everyone can see through his BS. He was a spineless coward of a coach that didn't know how to put his foot down. He isn't half the man Bob Stoops was and isn't even an 8th of the man Switzer was. @@skyrichardson6746 in many ways, I agree. Switzer had more success on paper. But Bob's dedication to the program (even AFTER he retired) is more respectable than anything that the vast majority of coaches in FBS history have done. And even though he only won a single Natty (which is still 1 more than most coaches can say they have), he held together a pretty solid football program for nearly two decades. He was rough around the edges with his players, didn't put up with BS, disciplined them and made them work their butts off, yet he still had much love and respect for them. Even his Son, (who is what... a 2 or 3 star player?) Has more spirit and is more of a trooper on that field than a lot of our cocky, undisciplined, 4 or 5 star players that come from other states, who are only looking for a good opportunity to get into the NFL. He didn't only build a good team, he built good individual players from scratch, and most importantly, he built good men. He will always be a legend in my book. I'd rather meet Bob Stoops and have conversations with him, than meet any highly famous person in the world. He's a good coach and an even better man. And will always have mine, and any real Sooners fan's respect.

a 15yd Face-mask penalty on the defense takes a touchdown off the board ... The rules and the way they are implemented do not make sense. player safety blah blah like they GAF about the players

Oregon is the most overrated team just about every year. They are about flashy outfits but they lack physicality and grit. And they NEVER fail to...suck. it was over at halftime, OU just took their foot off the gas in the 2nd half.

The secondary needs more discipline. Too many busted coverages. Set em straight, Brent.
