The Whispers are one of the best classic, R&B groups in the industry, including The O'Jays, The Stylistics, The Chi-Lites, Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes, The Dramatics just to name a few. Scotty and his twin brother have kept The Whispers legacy alive.

Saw the Whispers in concert with my love last October and they were fabulous! ❤❤❤❤

After all these years, they still sound good to me! One of my all time favorite groups!❤❤❤

WHAT?!! I had not even thought about that. Wow. All the really good artists from yesteryear are getting up there in age. Time really does seem to fly. It kind of makes me sad. 😔 All those good bands from when I was much younger remind me of my parents and older siblings.

It wasn't Level Decree, but the late Nicholas Caldwell who wrote among many of the classic hits "Olivia lost and turned out, and their late long time musical director Grady Watkins who wrote Welcome Into My Dreams." You are write in stating the brothers didn't write any of the songs, but I'm sure they added their vocal talent while deciding how to sing the lyrics to many of their songs. Btw/ few people know that Keni Burke wrote a couple of songs for the brothers on their solo project,.and if you don't know who he is,. please Google him... He's my cousin

@@MrMmadtimes because he never got his ghost 👻 credit, it was hard to identify him👁️remember his larger than life smile & his super smooth moves. Didn’t he also choreograph all their dance move moves? Paul Williams was the original choreographer for the Temptation. All of MOTOWN’s group movers were created by their finishing school 🏫. That choreographer was featured in a EBONY MAGAZINE (pocket size) back in the day. Thanks for the heads up ⬆️ 🤙

@@MrMmadtimes Burke was the lead singer for The 5 Stair Steps. They predated the Jackson 5 , Plus Curtis Mayfield wrote & produced them for his imprint “ Curtum Records “ . The Stair Steps later became the Invisible Man Band & Kenny Burke became an established songwriter & musician that had his own hits & replaced Larry Graham as bass player for Sly & The Family Stone. The mind is a terrible gift to waste. WOWZA 🤩

Was his sister your mother? She was so talented & Beautiful. The album notes said that she sang “ Contralto” . That word set me on a life long journey to live a life of grace through the African-American classical music 🎶 art form known to the world as soul or inspirational. I refuse to buy tickets to see resurrected groups lacking original members. I can listen to my music collection at home, invite friends over if I want company, or listen solo. But no way will i attend resurrected group concerts.😮
