    The two best snow toy inventions were not included in the video. The large intertube for sledding and one of those larger plastic tobbogans. I haven't found a large multi-person plastic tobbogan for a number of years but when they existed they provided a fast exciting downhill ride at a low purchase price. The intertube is just a backyard or hill billy invention for those on a low budget. They too are great fun.

    The woodrunner will go right over the top of the user if they fall over for any reason unless there's a dead man switch and you're more likely to go downhill faster without having it drag behind you. Those pushbikes on skis have been about since the 70's and also come in way more refined versions for skiers who can't use their legs.

    Fun fact about the jet-snowmobile: for Battlefield V, the devs needed a V1 rocket sound, but none were still in existence. Luckily, the same engine from the rockets was in use in a snowmobile, so they sent their audio team out there to record the sound.

That was DIY made by attaching a wooden seat on a ski. there are many versions now out to buy. cant say if the originals origin from Switzerland or Austria. i saw them the first time around 2003 in Adelboden but wiki states them beeing first made in 1800.

    Like the pulse jet snow mobile? With a small ionic thruster added, connected to a gyroscope, and some simple Canard wings, it could be a hover bike... pulse jet engines are the simplest kind of motor

  • @eastindiaV

    @eastindiaV

    Valves aren't neccessary, with wind speed.... its just a graphite tube, with a fuel pump, and a spark plug, in a simple combustion chamber, behind a screen, for birds. To start it, you need speed, or a leaf blower, you could add valves, and make it more of a pulse-detonation engine, which has been suggested to me, but again, I don't think it's neccessary, you just have to take an extra step to start it. With valves, maybe it's a push button start. Doesn't matter for civilians...

  • @eastindiaV

    @eastindiaV

    Жыл бұрын

    The next logical upgrades, aside from valves, would be water cooling, and a turbine, and a better nozzle, and intake design. Which is a huge amount of customization options, not even mentioning the ionic thruster up front.

    Do you have a photo of that? Sounds like a smart idea, maybe could be used to cut up some wood as well, then tow it back home - might need two chainsaws for that. It would be nice to have more electric motors on the various forms of snowmobile. I imagine the manufacturers are already heading in that direction.

    Winter season???? We've just had the wettest January and February I can remember since 1964. Typically in the last 20 years, winter temperatures are way above average for the time of year. So all the snow we used to get is a distant memory. A canoe would be more useful than a snow vehicle.

Same thing with the one after the trike, they were called “Sled Dog’s” but they weren’t quite as short tho. Typically they were somewhere around 16-18 inches and were a blast!! But that trike was nowhere near that kinda price tag tho!!.. Was only like 150$ back then and it really isn’t any different from the one we had. Batteries in cold weather.. so counter-intuitive. Second invention, big wind can flip you over. Third invention is not bad at all - "S-Snowmobile" _[S = standing]._ Fourth invention _[it's not a 'quad bike' sigh, quad means four, bi-cycle means two.. ]_ it could be called a tri-ski and not bad at all, expensive surely. Fifth invention: sigh, yet again, it's not a snow 'bike' since 'bike' is a truncation of 'bicycle' meaning two wheels/cycle, how about it's a 'e-ped-ski'? Sixth invention, that is neat, mono-track-assist / MTA. Seventh invention, so drag racing with a rocket motor. Eighth invention, another clever one, so ''pull-mobile''. Ninth invention, that is not new for sitting down skiing, they actually got this from a very similar device for the disabled. Tenth invention, that's a big one ski-doo/snowmobile, that should so dome serious work, expensive. Eleventh invention: i would call this something like 'tri-ski'. Twelfth invention, why not just call foot-skis/ped-skis? Thirteenth invention: not a scooter, just another form of skiing, so duo-skis. Fourteenth, prototype, so sno-sleds. Lastly: THESE ARE ALL INVENTIONS NOT CREATIONS! *"Only God creates, the rest of us just copy."* - Michelangelo @tech___zone
