14. Usk, Monmouthshire
Usk, a small town and community in Monmouthshire is just 16 kilometers northeast of Newport. The town on the River Usk is spanned by an arched stone bridge at the entrance of the town westward. As a small market town, it has a few industries, prominent among which is Japanware. This makes it an economically viable place to live. The town has built a record of success in Britain in Bloom competitions in recent years. It even won the Large Village award in 2005. It is known as the “Town of Flowers" and has a bustling high street and thriving sports clubs.
13. Blaenavon, Torfaen
Blaenavon, a town in Torfaen, is no doubt one of the most beautiful small towns to find accommodation in Wales. The town exudes history everywhere you go. You won’t need a tour guide to tell you that it used to be a giant exporter of iron, coal, and steel in the world. Notable people from Blaenavon include the award-winning mystery writer Dorothy Simpson; film actor E. E. It's funny that a channel called learning canteen can't be bothered to look up the correct pronunciation of these town names.
The pronouncing of Welsh place names is SO bad that you should be ashamed. It would take very little effort to correct this!
Again pronunciation is dreadful, he's only doing 12 towns ffs!
The producers of this video have not got a clue. I am English but have lived in Wales for over 30 years. The pronunciation is a total joke. I wonder whether they actually left their desks in rural England before making this. Not reliable content -in my view!

I have only watched the section on Usk, then given up. At best, they have skimmed through Wikipedia. To claim japanware is a major industry in the town is laughable. It was in the 1840s, but had died out by the 1860 or so.

Thou want someone who cann pronounce the places you are speaking about who ever is doing this needs to do this or get another English person who has lived in Wales for 40yrs to do the learning canteen for you
I watched this, and it's amazing how many are next to the sea, but don't think to buy another house down there before you move, otherwise you might get smashed for taxes. So, nice places to retire but not great places if you fancy a well paid job.

Car got stolen in Aberbargoed on the way I expect. Then got mugged in Rhumney probably. Check the hospital in Merthyr or Ystrad. Been four months so the ambulance must have arrived by now.

Most of the places are mispronounced. There should be more research done on this.
As everyone else said he can say the names correctly, and looks like he has plucked town names out of thin air.
Please learn to pronounce the Welsh names PROPERLY. Spoilt the narrative.
