The Drive in opened in May of 1953 and closed in 1984. It reopened in May of 1991 and closed for good in August of 1995.

This one was a lovely video Chris. Really enjoyed it. I used to live in Las Vegas back in 2008-9 and visited some of these places that you showed. Will probably visit them again.

Appreciate the vid as I'm planning a trip soon through these exact same locations so this was super helpful. Subbed so I can binge your other videos later lol. The spot at the 2:00 min mark I've found in past searching. It's called the "Elizalde Cement Plant" (also sometimes referred to as " The Carrara Portland Cement Company Plant.) and has reportedly been abandoned since 1942 due to WWII fuel rationing efforts. Construction had started in 1941 and according to what I've read, the plant never actually saw any operation. Cheers and happy exploring.

I used to drive to Las Vegas every year for a trade show, from the Okanagan valley. I always took a different route to explore coming and going. Haven't been back in 20 years, and always meant to spend a few weeks in that area on the backroads. I have a page on Facebook that you have contributed to. Abandoned Barns, farm buildings etc of western Canada.

As a Nevadan I wanted to watch this, but the mispronunciation of Nevada and Ely etc is too much.
