I was there that night. The line was held up for 30 minutes and when I asked what the hold up was the staff said it was because some youtuber was filming. Not sure why you didn't include the part where you got lost in the graveyard. My group passed right by you.

I’ve been to pretty much every haunted attraction in the United States and I will say this the 13th gate is by far the best scariest ive ever been in and worth every penny and wait time.

They did an awesome as scare actors, one of the best acting I’ve seen in all your channel adventures!

I recently watched your video when you toured the filming locations for the original Friday the 13th movie, then went on a Friday the 13th marathon right after. Although I’ve watched them all countless times, it’s cool when I go back through the entire series of films, in order, and look for new things each time. I’m a new Sub, and really look forward to seeing more of your content. Thanks so much for your passion and hard work.

One year I went, I recall a claustrophobic room that was like black and like small walking passages. Then the mental institution was at the beginning of the haunt rather than the end. There was a huge animatronic pig, and there was a butcher with a load of pig relics and pig mask. The mammoth was still existing like nearly 10 years ago. I feel like I remember they did a scene from Silent Hill with a room of not moving nurses, and then as you walked some would inch forward. I wish that was still there!!

What a fun trip you had. If you come back to Louisiana for a visit, come to New Orleans during spooky to visit The Mortuary Haunted House. It's inside what used to be a functioning mortuary that still has a cemetery attached on the side yard. Every year they have a different theme. It's so fun. My kiddo and I try to go every year since we live nearby. Definitely with the money.

Your interactions with the actors is great “10 minutes, gotcha!” This place looks so good. I’ll have to check it out sometime. Thanks for sharing

13th Gate is the best Halloween haunt/house/thing I've ever experienced. I've been to Universal's Halloween Horror Nights (in 2009), which is really wonderful for the outside walking area, but their haunts/houses are disappointing and tame. 13th Gate feels visceral and real with tons of variety. For example, like the atmosphere seen here for the Evil Dead-inspired cabin that feels like you're actually at the real thing. When I went in 2008 (or 2007) there was a Texas Chainsaw Massacre-inspired house and it felt like I was really in their dark creepy living room with the little TV on, like I had actually intruded in their home and it would only be a matter of time until I get caught. My favorite part was at the end, when I enter this egyptian pyramid mummy's tomb and there's a long hallway to the exit. Then a 12-ish foot tall Sphinx guard (a guy on stilts) bursts out of the opposite end through a wall and starts chasing me. Was the coolest thing I had seen. Pure quality. Oh, and when I was in the elevator at the beginning, the bottom of the elevator disappeared (an illusion) to reveal a long drop into some kind of abyss. My experience was a flashlight-night where we could only see with little bitty flashlights they provide us (so that probably really helped make it as great as it was).

Now this is what you call a haunt! Thats was beautiful [a fellow scare actor] 😈

Awesome video. One of the best haunted house attractions !! This place looks huge !! Fantastic sets !! This should be in the top ten haunted house attractions in the US. It’s amazing how many scare actors there are.

I went to this 2 years back when I worked in Baton Rouge. This place is so much fun. Doesn't look like they did a theme this year but the two times I went they did and the hell section scared it out of our group 😂😂😂. Definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes haunted houses. And yes the party area is huge

Jay you’ve got me obsessed with all of these haunts. What a haunt/haunted house. This was great! It’s ironic how you did a walkthrough of the 13th Gate on Friday the 13th. Dude, that was meant to happen that way. I love it! Thank you for giving October and Halloween such an invigorating feel of spookiness. Kudos to all the scare actors who did an awesome job. It has been years but one year at 13th gate, they had some huge animatronic pig head and it scared the living daylights out of me and I was screaming.
