That is by far the nicest B class you’ve shown. The quality sure stands out.

I bet those extra steps are also there for when you're using it as a double bed. Another excellent vehicle from Hymer, which I've always thought of as the Gold Standard for European RVs. Although, and it may be because I've been on this side of the pond too long, but I'd be slightly concerned about a 175 bhp engine hauling this thing along with a family and all their gear up the Alps or Pyrenees...

That`s a really nice B class.... I like the way that a lot of the detailing and packaging on the more modern motorhomes comes directly from the boat industry. Where you find design and packaging is an artform. Love that tour Nick... More please.

Missed this one when it came out, always loved Hymer, it’s amazing how many of the first generation are still on the roads today. Some similarities to the Dethleffs that you showed today, the bathroom etc. Thanks for showing this Nick.

Hymer always impresses me. Smart solutions, and this one is no exception! They have a concept mini/compact RV called VisionVenture which is really cool. Hope they put it into production one day.

The "Thumbnail Picture" drew me in. I thought - hey, that guy looks familiar. I know, he's a man's fashion model from adverts on the telly. But once the video began, I was pleasantly surprised to find YOU, Nick, in the video. RV differences - in the Colonies its "Class B" - whilst proper English has it a "B Class". Once that code was cracked, it was pure enjoyment til the very end. Thanks. Nick and HYMER for sharing this fine machine.

Expensive, but there's a lot of high end quality in there. Would've liked a TV in the bedroom given the price bracket, but it's a minor grumble. Love the use of space and the design of that hidden step up to the beds. Genius.

That one is marvelous when you are stationary, but when you are driving, and taking ferries, then you want it to be shorter than 6 meter and a curb weight under 3,5 ton.

That’s one motorhome which makes me think about an upgrade….superb throughout for a couple on tour with bikes. The double floor and garage mean as much storage as you could want. Can you get a Williams tender in the garage Nick?

You need to have a look at the Chaussons, they’re not the same build quality BUT their innovations are very impressive indeed, like say drop down single beds so you have all the room you need in the day and the bathroom area is vast. I think fixed beds in a MH are just a waste of space, especially if theres just one or two travelling. Oh and everyone saying I’d like extra beds for the grandkids, great idea but be realistic, how many times do you honestly think they’d see use? I’m guessing, and this is based on seeing forums like MH Fun once, twice at the most. Thanks again Nick for the look around, I really liked the stitching and effects round the door.

Really nice Nick, noting the tow bar I have wondered about towing a dinghy behind a vehicle such as this and you being an Aquaholic might have some insight in this matter.

I wish we could get this unit in the USA. It doesn't look like Hymer has any dealers in the USA at this time. I've found a few Hymer units for sale with the newest being 2019 which would indicate they have left the USA market.

It looks like that TV is bigger than 32"... more like 42-43"... very impressive, and also in a great spot for it. I always find it funny that RV manufacturers have a hard time designing a good place for entertainment. Granted, you aren't buying an RV for watching TV... hahaha

I never understood the bathroom door layout. What if I'm in the shower and someone else needs the toilet? A way of screening off the shower so the toilet is still useable makes much more sense.

Why is the shower door made of clear glass? Awkward if you are traveling with a friend. Don't assume everyone traveling together is a "couple." And even then, I'd prefer an opaque door.

Electric version of this would be a dream RV.

Thanks for the video. I’m from U.S.A and just wondering 170hp is good enough to propel this Hymer on highway, this case autobahn, or mountain hills ? I love Hymer so much but the engine always seems less power.

WAY better engineered than anything available in the US at the same price-point on the Mercedes chassis. The safety belt solution looks significantly better engineered and safer than what you'll see on a US Class B. I wonder if EU regulations demand that. We've looked at every Class B on the market. But, we can't find anything we feel is safe enough for our two young kids. Child seat accommodation isn't a consideration for US RV makers. A couple years ago, Hymer was purchased by US-based Thor Industries. At the time, they said they were going to bring some Euro Hymer products to market in the US. But, that has not yet materialized.

How many times do you say "great but of kit".

I'd choose this one over any of the similarly MB based class-B mnufactured in America. This one looks to be a lot cheaper too at the equivalent of about $160,000. It looks much more modern with thoughtful designs and touches. I don't think this one comes right off the factory with tons of problem/issues like those that are made by American manufacturers.

That pull out step is for use when the infill cushion is installed to turn the twins into a double bed. The infill blocks the rear step otherwise

I can't understand why the living area is so small in such a big vehicle. I'd rather the extra space in the living area and a smaller bedroom which only gets used at night.

This is cracking. Saying that I would love to see this kind of space saving design in an ordinary house, makeovers yes but not space saving design. That would be very interesting.

Looks and feels like quality, but the kitchen has virtually zero prep/useful workspace. I mean sure, you got the sink cover, but when cooking the sink is always in use and there is no other surface to use... very silly considering all the other smart ideas that went into this machine....

Yeah... convert this to USD, and you have an approx. $170k motorhome that beats every US-made $200k motorhome. German engineering is what I say to that
