The only reason I ever have a metronome is if there isn't a recording of the song I'm playing on KZread or if I'm trying to work a piece up to the necessary tempo, and neither of those is fun. So for whatever reason you're here, good luck on playing whatever it is you need to play.

Hi Moe, it's on purpose. Not every music is in 4/4, so any accent will make the metronome less "universal"

Who is disliking a metronome

I don't know what kind of godawful "music" my neighbors play, but all i can hear is the drum line of it. This is its meter... i timed it. Can you imagine? For hours. Buhm-Buhm-Buhm-Buhm-Buhm-Buhm-Buhm- ad nauseam. But then also, for years. Literally. The taste in rhythm does not change. Can it even be music at all? Or is it some driving work guidance or exercise routine mind control?
