Wow I live in Sydney too and I really enjoyed watching your video. Great tips!! Yes, you are right with the weather!!! It’s usually 4 seasons in one day!!! My tip, in spring, summer, and autumn take a jacket with you and a umbrella, as the weather is unpredictable. Also the best places for coffee, is Maggio’s Cammeray the cafe has the best meals and they have a bakery too of fine French & Italian breads, pizza’s, pies & delectable Pattiserie cakes. Also Patterson’s coffee is so good, with their delicious food as well. Enjoy Sydney 🇦🇺

I avoided the station fee by walking to the Wolli Creek train station from the international terminal. It's a pleasant 20-minute walk. To avoid the fee when flying to any domestic terminal, one can take bus 400 to the Mascot Station (probably bus 420 would work too, I think I took 420, but it went to a different direction; I ended up getting off somewhere near the Arncliffe Station) . And to get to any terminal without paying the fee, one can go to the Mascot Station and then take bus 400 or 420 from Mascot Station, Coward St, Stand B (or walk to the airport).

Love your videos on Sydney. Will you be doing one for those who will be coming as a new resident? : ). Now that I know where are the best places to eat Cheong Fun and laksa from your vids, it's time to find out which suburb is good to rent as a first home for single, professional guys... and not too expensive. Say AUD$350 a week, near the metro/train station, shops, one bedroom. Oh wait I think I'm asking too much for that price in Sydney LOL. Anyway... hope to see your take on this in future videos. I got the Optus 20gb plan for 28 days for only AUD15 in their kiosk at the airport. Such a bargain. However, it doesnt have the best coverage but it works wonder in central but not so much when going to certain parts of Blue Mountains. You can still have some coverage when doing the Scenic World attractions. Traveling from/to airport can also be cheap if you use the 400 bus. From the airport, take the 400 bus from the bus stop infront of the International Airport T1 then alight at Mascot station bus stop. Then walk 3-5 minutes to Mascot train station and take the train to central and altogether this trip will only cost you around AUD3. Thats quite a saving! And oh you need to have an Optus card before that and you can get in the airport, such as WHSmith. I found the coffee in Sydney very cheap (and also good). It usually costs around AUD5 which is equivalent to SGD5-6 whereas you cannot find coffee under AUD5 in Singapore, for comparison. I miss their flat whites a lot. Thank you for this Janice especially the information on the weekly reward for travelling in Sydney.

At least you guys have a train line connected to the airport, unlike in Melbourne, we either drive to there paying heaps toll fee and shocking airport parking fee, or hopping on a shuttle bus for $20 to the CBD train station and then pay another around $10 to the metropolitan subuarbs. We just started the construction project of airport train line after talking about it for a few decades, but it's gonna take 10 years to build

I have been to Sydney & Gold Coast a few times and all of the times I've been there are right in the middle of summer. I can agree on the part where the sun can be really f**king harsh on the skin! I live most of my life in a sunny island called "Singapore" and I have never got a single sunburn here. The very first time I was at Gold Coast, I finally knew what my friends who have suffered sunburns before were talking about. And yes! As a coffee lover, I died in Sydney after my friend told me the places to have coffee there.

@@JaniceFung There is this one place which is located at a traffic junction, I totally forgot which district that cafe was in. I tried looking back on my Google Maps Timeline but somehow it did not capture the place. :( Nevertheless, I never once complained about the coffees that I had in all of the cafes that I had visited! I went from Bankstown to Artamon to Chatswood to Enmore to CBD to North Narrabeen and many other places! And I got the worst sunburn in North Narrabeen and got bitten by a small crab! (I deserved it actually because I was playing with it XD)

Hey Janice, if you're looking for ideas I'd love to see a Sunday trip to Newcastle (on the $2.80 deal). I'm thinking of staying there next time I'm on the east coast as I've heard it's got good beaches plus some good cafes, vintage clothes shops, etc, since a lot of hipsters who've been priced out of Sydney have moved there :) xo

The train ride is relaxing and comfortable. Certainly not fast especially by European standards. The scenery is good, especially the descent from Cowan to the Hawkesbury River and alongside the creeks and inlets from there to Gosford. Thanks to an inexplicable decision by the train authorities, the northern terminus is now quite some distance from the main city and the beaches.

Good Morning......You posted early..LOL I wasn't ready....Gotta wait as always....Be back later........I'm back.....Shops closing at 5pm...WTH? What about people that don't get off work until 5 or later? LOL That is the thing that I have the most problem with when I travel....Las Vegas is a 24/7 kinda city....The grocery stores close at midnight and reopen at 6am, but my local supermarket never closes, so I can do FULL shopping at 1am, and some Walmart's are open 24 hours. I sometimes wake up at 4 am (just because)...and I shower and get dressed and zip down to my local casino for a Steak and Eggs breakfast for $5.99 and some lite gambling...LOL or at 2am before I head home I stop by a Roberto's or Pepe's taco shop for a burrito or Carne Asada Fries. That is why Bangkok is a favorite of mine....Always something going on...and street food anytime day or night. The stairs and doors are a good tip. Americans would walk or stand on the right because we drive on the right. I always get into trouble when crossing the road. I am always looking in the wrong direction. this was a great informative video.....I gotta get to AU sometimes....Maybe look up the Irwins..😁😁😁

Avoid the ridiculous airport train surcharge by catching a bus to the Mascot station north up the line, or walking to the Wolli Creek Station not far west of the InternationalTerminal.
