Get at least two prairie dogs, if you want to keep them as pets. Their highly social nature makes the solitude of a lone prairie dog life-threatening.

i strongly disagree. a well-loved single pdog can be very happy if he has enough love and attention. owned pds for 10 years. you dont know enough to say what u do.

@@Titus213-xc7pi Hey! you need to look around exotic animal shelters. They normally cost about 400-600$. Monthly care is about 900$. I have one named tito.

They are cute to watch but not a good pet as you cannot leave them alone for long, they need to roam and to be healthy and they need tons of attention. Whew!

ive owned pdogs for ten years and strongly disagree. they make excellent pets if they get enough kindness and attention, but their natural destructiveness is something an owner must accept.

I want two but I have two concerns. One, I'm allergic to lots of animals, is there a way to find out if I'm allergic beforehand? And two, I hear they would probably tear up my house. I want a pet though and I think this is it.
