13 Hours Hiking Up Himalaya Alone🇳🇵
■ NEPAL, HIMALAYA: With Snickers, Chow Mein and Gongo aboard, I was ready to once again soldier up the Himalayan mountainside. But for how long? And to where? I had no real end goal in sight. If I found a nice lodge I'd simply set up shop for the night. If not, I'd just keep hiking up.
And hike I did as the hours flew by. As I kept climbing, the scenery kept changing fueling my thirst for further exploration. The spectacular Himalayan Lord of the Ringsesque forests, rivers, cliffs, wild deers and ruins of old abandoned settlements had me so intrigued, I wanted to see what's around the next corner, regardless of how much my legs told me they wanted no further part in this trek.
Already at 7:00AM, just two hours after leaving Bamboo Lodge, I had been so exhausted, thoughts of setting up shop at the first lodge possible had started creeping in. Somehow I had kept going. But now as the clock turned to 04:30PM, after nearly 12 hours of hiking uphill, fatigue started getting the better of me .....

Sorry to hear about your situation but if it makes you feel better, most people can’t travel like this even if they’re not disabled. I love these videos for that reason too. I can’t afford to travel Europe or South America. Hell I’ve only been to a few states in the USA

@@codegrey9944 Yeah, I'm shaking my head looking at the gear Harald has. He needs a warm coat at least and a waterproof shell. Love this video series but I don't see how he is gonna get up a 6000m peak with the gear (or lack of) he currently has... especially in winter!!

Harold I like your videos . you hike so far by yourself i would have to go with some friend especially in another country and thanks for making these videos. You put a lot of hard work in these and the tea house are great and cheap it is crazy how cheap everything is.the expansive part is the plain flights and energy you have to expend
In the end where Harald is laying on the bed with his “vlogged out” arms after trekking like a beast for 13 hours saying his iconic “was I filming? Yes I was” was hilarious. Hope to see more badass adventures like this. ✌️

all of that ending was epic:') from the moment he entered the room, then the aching arms, but still got to check the shower head, but then desperately breathing, and then falling in bed exhausted, so funny:')
I really respect Harald's travelling skills. He's so relaxed even in frightening situations I don't ever see myself attempting. You can't reach that level of relaxedness unless you have experience. Wow!

This video really feels like your magnum opus to me... So many elements almost went awry, the final stop continued to prove more and more elusive as time went on. I haven't been this thrilled or anxious watching youtube in years. This video just stuck with me for some reason. You started the day so routinely, then trekked through a ghost town and past fog which obscured your hands in front of you, I simply couldn't accomplish the same.
How many hours lol Gotta love Harold. These group of videos are the best I’ve seen on the Internet by far.
Harald is living legend. He helped so many in his jurney it is hard to count from local people, to people that try to make a change to rising youtubers... and this is only what we know. He is helping many behind camera I am sure. From India, Sri Lanka to Africa, USA, EU, ... He is real Viking!

Thats so true, ive never thought of how much Harald actually gives to the people and it is sooo true, he really helps the needing, hard working people, all the time, even at the highest mountains now with such an kind and respectfull way to be against other human beings. Harald the Viking sojourner: no documentarian films, National Geographic, travel promotion commercials; can bring such raw contents as you man! There are places I'd never known existed much less going there, if not for your travel vlogs. You deserve an Academy award of motion vlogs!
The Himalayas are a beautiful part of the world. I did a tour on a motorcycle in Nepal and had a hard time keeping my eyes on the dirt roads/tracks because of the spectacular and majestic scenery.
I like how you are so "casually" dressed, with these few hikers about with their walking sticks, rain-proof outfits, scarfs, gloves and hats hahaha you're a beast

Harald , I was having dinner with my family and mom (who's a professor of history) said, people like you are contributing to the making of another chapter of history for our future generations with the help of internet. Exploring the unexplored which was only written down in the books till now. I love the raw way of presenting the content and find them so addictive. Most vloggers like to show there generous acts. Having watched Harald for over 3 years now i know he’s always helping people wether he shows it or not. I think thats why he goes months without uploading sometimes, in order to recuperate the federal reserves 😂
It's so amazing to see you taking this adventure. Even though you're by yourself, you're not alone. At least when you visit these small villages. It's very kind of you to at least buy a tea from the locals. They live so simply, and the majority of us wouldn't survive one day in their shoes. Great videos. Keep them coming.

What an amazing atmosphere. The air the water the mountains. Harold is living the dream
This takes me back. I did the Manaslu trekking with a group of really good friends back in 2016 and it was the most impressive trekking i have ever done. We have been up to 5100 meters through Larke Pass. One of our friends busted her ankle on day 2 and had to take the helicopter flight back. It dawned to me: the only way out of here is on your own feet or by helicopter. The mountains are so high, it`s amazing truly. I still feel blessed that i got to experience this.

I’ve hiked over 3k miles and my fav foods for fuel while also being light weight is powdered mashed potatoes, any noodles (Roman noodles are a big one), dried meets, snickers (250cal/bar), peanut butter, olive oil and or butter if cold enough(put on everything for calories), caffeine, ibuprofen.
Been years and I still can’t get enough of his adventures, inspires me to go out and enjoy our beautiful planet 🌎
Love the contrast how every other hiker is properly equiped and then there is heraldo with a hoody sneakers and a camera
so clearly remember sitting at that very bench at riverside and having some snickers. really miss Nepal! planning a trip back soon hopefully.
I have been watching your videos for a while Harald, and they have inspired me to do at least one of these long treks in my 20s. Fun-fact: I don't know if it's interesting or not, but the place ruined by the earthquake "ghodatabela" at 0:27:14 literally translates to Horse Stable. So, maybe that's why there were horses at the place.

On a mountain trek near Pokhara a few years ago now, we came across remains of a town that had been just a few days before completely swept away by falling rocks many the size of a bus. The trail was gone and our guide had to show us both across a steep unstable gravel slope to safety instead of the previous existing safe route. Just goes to show how mountains can change one's plans. Good luck with improving your axe wielding Norseman skills.
I always wanted to go there to visit my relatives in Langtang. Unfortunately they all died during the earthquake back in 2015. All the relatives from my dad’s side are gone . I always wanted to go there , but now after watching your videos I don’t think I can do it and thank you so much for capturing all the sites. Felt like I was trekking with you. Can’t wait to see your next video.

This is the untold rule about trekking in Nepal. When the locals say "20 more minutes to reach your destination", they mean "20 mins FOR THEM". For you, it's may be double that time or triple. 😎😊

Experienced this when hiking to PaanchPokhari. The locals said I'd reach at around 6 in the evening. Reached at 2 pm next day. XD
