Hi everyone, hope you are all doing great. This is a real lesson video that we made in Kristianstad in Sweden. Today I really wanted to focus on Jaki's preparation and footwork. Jaki is already defending pretty well with the backwall, she doesn't make a lot of mistakes when playing padel. Sometimes she loses the rally because of a fast rhythm. So we decided to change a few things for defending, and also for attacking.
Some players are defending really really well without the backwall if you are playing pretty fast, sometimes it is very easy to block a fast ball. Today we also improved the amount of slice in the volleys and in the bandeja. This will make it way harder to block, and way it is harder to defend when the ball hits the glass

Very nice video. Sometimes it seemed to me that she was using an eastern grip for the forehand. Am I wrong? Padel teacher told me day one to use Continental grip (it was very hard for me, being used to eastern from tennis)

she bends the wrist backwards in the volley, both forehand and backhand, and that makes her have less precision and will put her in a lot of trouble if she has to volley fast heavy balls. It is even more manifest in the bandeja but it should be corrected in the volleys as well. This is very clear looking at how some of her balls float high because her wrist is bent backwards...
