Along with the pinesol "hack" I had a coworker who was in her Late 50s tell me, (was early 20s then) that she would have a vacuum cleaner out, plugged in , and a bottle of pledge or other cleaner, and a sponge/towel or which ever..sitting out in a very obvious pace so that if someone dropped by in a "lazy day" she'd say "oh I was just catching up on cleaning, but I can take a break .come on in" in reality she was laying in the couch! I always thought that was funny

@@Moms1958 absolutely agree and they can use TP to be cleaner. I had a childcare worker/sitter relayed her husband's thoughts about it. Saying the boys would be made fun of in the men's room when he uses a urinal and wipes. Ah, nope. There is no TP at the urinals and they can use a stall if they prefer. He should have taught them what a urinal is, how to use it and that it's perfectly normal to use a stall in the men's room. Manhood is much more than standing to urinate.

I kept a bowl of Cheerios on the back of the toilet, that way, my stepson could toss a few in & aim for those. My daughter was so much easier. Funny story, when my she still used her own little potty, I once found her sitting there quietly, looking at a board book! I asked her what she was doing, & she said, "I'm trying to concentrate!" I then added a ½ basket on the wall at her height for a few board books

A Hack: In 2021 I had a stroke in my spine. I can no longer walk and I have to wear adult diapers. My husband buys the puppy pads by the box to use under me in my bed so if I had an accident they help keep my bed dry. When you make fairy bread, turn a plastic sandwich container lid upside-down and put a layer of sprinkles in it. Put the butter on your bread, place the bread butter side down on top of the sprinkles and give it a light press. The sprinkles stick better and won't go bouncing everywhere for you to clean up 😀🇭🇲

@@ibosquez5238 I suffer from a long list of autoimmune diseases but since I've only worked part time, I decided not to go through the stress of trying for disability. So I think it would be harder for me to get help, unless it was physical therapy or home health. My husband will be able to retire in two years (very early, but a blessing that we can), so that will take care of it. He does most of the cleaning now, and with what I can do, we get by. 1. omg, the microfiber towel glass cleaning idea is so brilliant. My mirrors are so tall I couldn't get to the very top without a step stool. Kinda mad that I never thought of this before! 2. Another thing to add to the puppy pad at the bottom of the garbage can--I add 1-2 drops of peppermint essential oil, and even if something stinky goes in the garbage, you only smell peppermint. It is helpful if you have barely anything in the bag and don't want to waste the bag taking it out to the outside can, but you don't want to smell anything when you open up the lid to put more garbage in. All you get is the Peppermint smell.

In Brazil we have drains on the bathroom - not only in shower area - and we do the scrubbing thing with the broom all over. It's a staple for cleaning, we learn it from early age, so it's funny for me seeing you guys raving about it 😄 We also do it in the other rooms, like living room and bedroom. We scrub with the broom/soap, then water, then squeegee. It's the most effective cleaning ever. For some kind of flooring, we buff it with dry soft rag wrapped around the squeegee. I loved seeing my porcelain floor looking like a mirror. 😍

I have always wanted this to use wet brush & squeegee the water on floor into drain. I know it gets cleaned better. I notice places in Europe also have floor drains. America also has the bathroom stalls with 1/2 inch gaps so you have no privacy so we don’t do bathrooms well. Part of me wonders if we don’t have floor drains because some people thinks it’s not modern, classy or aesthetically pleasing. It makes cleaning faster & more effective but maybe when most women didnt work they had more time to clean. Now most people women don’t have the privilege & we need all the help to clean faster & still do a good job. I notice in other countries the entire bathrooms is tiled to ceiling which is great for cleaning too. Older bathrooms are often tile up to mid wall which is so good by the toilet but now most people just pee on the wall so it’s always going to be smell & never all the way clean on porous surface

The fairy snack reminds me of something that we'd do as kids. When we didn't have sweet bread from the Mexican bakery, we'd slice French bread (a type of sandwich roll from the Mexican bakery) or another similar bread, slice it in half, spread butter and sprinkle sugar on top, and put it in the oven until it all melted and just slightly browned. As I recall, it was pretty tasty.

Before cleaning your toilet, tub (the top & side), sink, or any place that has dust….Use a Dusting Cloth to wipe everywhere to collect the dust (obviously) before cleaning, then clean like normal and you won’t be “fighting” to get the dust off of surfaces which keeps cleaning water or Sanitizing wipes a bit cleaner so you’re not throwing away as many wipes or changing your cleaning water as often. I understand dusting the bathroom or another surface you’re gonna clean is an extra step but try it and I’m positive you’ll like it better than not dusting first.

Great video, one of my favourite little tricks is to use the cutting mats in the kitchen section to hold up my long thigh high boots with a socket or ankle length stocking over the top to prevent spiders from surprising you by being inside your boots. As an Aussie, Fairy bread was very common for birthday parties and using either a cookie cutter or sandwich cutter you could shape them into fairy wings and sometimes mixing chocolate sprinkles with the rainbow sprinkles makes it tastes even better.
