13 Builders Collab | Chain Reaction Community Collaboration

Ойын-сауық

Because many chain reaction builders had a lot more time on their hands than usual this year, I revived the 11 Builders Collab series for a third installment; only this time with thirteen builders! I am very proud of what we put together!

Thank you very much for watching! I love this series as it showcases the chain reaction community well and allows many builders to collaborate with builders they have not collaborated with before. I'm very thankful that so many talented builders were able to come together so we could produce the third and best installment in the series yet.
I am interested in commissioned work. If you have any needs pertaining to chain reaction art, please feel free to email me at sirgabealot11@gmail.com.

Thank you to all the participants! I'm really proud of all the builders and how this video turned out! Just because I'm the host of the project doesn't mean I'm not going to write an extensive comment detailing my thoughts on each clip! DaksDominos - I really liked how well you utilized the tilting surface in your machine. The ball/gap launch trick and the tape measure trick were both great adaptations of classic machine tricks, not to mention that the pathing was absolutely incredible. There are so many subtle intricacies with the way the balls roll across the board that stand out when I rewatch the clip. Your clip definitely showed the progression in your machine style since 11BC2. I also applaud you for a) handling my crazy transition well and b) coming back to the machine to reshoot it after already getting a working take because it was worth it. Additionally, thank you for uploading this video to your channel! teddytron2000 - I'm glad that you were able to take the floor tricks category this year! There were a lot of solid tricks in your machine, like the track car being wound up and released by the Knex motor, the red flipper trick, and the clever lever mechanism. Your reshoots were absolutely worth it in the end, as the clip looks very clean and professional. Great work! Flash Domino - I really liked your clip this year! While I didn't dislike your clip from 11BC2, this one definitely blows it out of the water--not because your 11BC2 clip was bad, but because this one was very good. The pacing is smooth, the tricks are remarkable, the machine is clean and polished; overall, this really shows how far your style as a chain reaction artist has come. I also must comment on the tricks; the rotating rectangle spinner was very clever and the swinging straw track was incredible, but the trick that really stole the show was the spinning track on the fidget spinner. Not only is the idea itself incredible, but it was also executed PERFECTLY. The motion was sooooo smooth and the presentation was flawless; I can see a lot of other builders doing this trick with Knex and Hot Wheels tracks and it not having the same effect. This trick is definitely my favorite machine trick of yours and one of my favorites in the entire video. bpdoles - Despite how you're primarily a domino builder, I didn't have any doubts asking you to build a machine clip for this given how amazing Chain Reaction #2 was. And let me just say...WOW. Your clip absolutely blew me away. The sliding board trick would have been impressive enough on its own without the unfurling carpet or the ball. That trick was just amazingly clever and ingenious, not to mention that the massive scale of the board really brings it to life. Additionally, the slinky transition, moving fan, speaker, and disc launch were all not only amazing but also conveyed genuine passion toward making this trick stand out. It's always fun seeing how the foreign objects category is handled in this series, and you absolutely did not disappoint with it. In fact, this was hands down one of my favorite clips in the entire video. I want you to build more machines because you are incredible at this craft. (I'd also love to see you upload a separate video of your machine on your channel if you can) Amazing job! :) Creezy - Even though the central premise of your channel is primarily trickshots, you can definitely hold your own at machines too. It's nice to have a clip in this video that, rather than being focused on multi-use elements or being complex, is a genuine chain reaction at its roots based on innovative objects and clever steps. My favorite part of the clip was the rotating track at the beginning. This is not an easy trick to do and you executed it in a clean and satisfying way. Between the rolling coin, the soccer ball rolling into the goal, the cups weaving through the bowling pins, and the several other foreign objects used in this machine, the creative and authentic style of your machine shines. I'm happy that you were able to participate in this video and hope that you produce more machine content in the future. TheContraptionKing - Considering that you actually built this machine a long time ago, the clip holds its own really well. All of the tricks are new and innovative and clearly define your style. A small detail that I especially enjoyed was the little arrow taped to the wall over the automatic ball lift; this was a very nice touch. I can't choose a favorite trick from this clip because they were all so good; the guys on the watch party were also quite impressed by your clip. You have a lot of potential and I hope that you keep building in the future. TheGoldbergGuy - It's nice to see my man finally pulling that MJ to return for this project! It was cool to see tricks you've talked about a while ago finally brought to life on the big/little screen. My favorite part of your clip was the smoothness of how the domino rally track slides down the ramp and positions itself right in front of the direction changer before the marble rolls through it. Really nice work here! I was unsure if you'd be able to put together a machine clip for this project when I first asked, and I’m glad you did because your clip was great. I hope you'll find the time to build some more in the future. berlagawesome - I really wasn't expecting you to make a clip for this project, so I was glad when you came back to me in August and told me that you were up for it. While I don't like to be reminded of everything going on right now, your machine executed its theme really well! The selection of foreign objects conveyed the theme very well (the "flatten the curve" trick got a nice laugh from the watch party). It's also nice to see the glove trick from Reactica 2020 used as part of a full machine. My favorite trick from your machine was definitely the swinging hand sanitizer bottle; it's a berlagawesome staple in the sense that it's a quick and subtle but also ingenious motion. I'm happy that you were able to be a part of this project! Twig - Your machine is something truly special among the clips in this video as it does something that hasn't really been done in a long time, and something that I haven't seen done this well. The way how so many parts of the machine are moving at the same time, working together, fulfilling multiple different tasks within the machine is incredible. From the Mukmuk launch to the cup tower to the use of the Dolan's Christmas card, I love how much personality this machine has; it's one of the bravest machines I've ever seen in the sense that it's not afraid to try new and unique things. The matrix of multi-use elements was incredible. I love how practically every time I rewatch this machine, I find a new multi-use element I hadn't noticed before. I also want to reiterate how despite this just being part of a community collaboration, you built an entire machine for it. It's ingenious, it's clever, it's creative, and also a great throwback to the 2015-2016 style of machines adapted to 2020. This was absolutely one of my favorite clips from the video in the sense that did something new for chain reactions as a whole. This entire project was worth getting you to build another full-length machine. I hope that you'll upload a separate video of this on your channel because this machine deserves it. TheRGMGuy01 - Like Twig's clip, I was impressed by the central multi-uses throughout your clip and how the entire machine is driven by this massive Knex gear machine in the center. This was such a clever adaptation of gear tricks and was a lot like having a Knex Ball machine implemented into a chain reaction, which I found really cool. The way that the mechanism in the center served so many different uses to the machine is absolutely incredible, not to mention the other tricks you did on the side were also fantastic! I also applaud you for taking the time to ensure that the launch into the megaphone was perfect, as it paid off in the end. This machine reiterates your complex and distinct style and I absolutely love it. TheInvention11 - This clip was very interesting because it was very different from what I was expecting from a TheInvention11 machine clip. The pathing and the domino sequences were incredibly satisfying, and the one-ball path element of the clip also brought so much life to the clip. This trick had a great aesthetic and was designed and executed flawlessly. It's something that's original and breaks away from the general style of chain reactions, which I admire. I look forward to seeing what you build in the future! jackofallspades98 - Congrats on having the only clip in the video with zero working takes XD In all seriousness, though, your machine was incredible as expected. I think it goes without saying that the pong shot trick was astonishing and definitely my favorite trick from your clip. The sign reveal was also extremely clever and satisfying on both a simple and complex level. The other three tricks reminded me of what you said about your Newton's Cradle trick in the Key Finder BTS, as the tricks were motions that had been done before but in new and innovative ways using different objects to make them stand out. I also must comment on how incredible the stitch you made in post-production was. It was absolutely impeccable--I still don't know how you pulled it off so well. cwdreactions - As sad as I was that you couldn't produce a clip this year, the editing of this video was incredible and really brought the clips to life. Between the music and the title cards, I love how the video has this theme of awe and wonder to accompany the machines. I'm really happy that you were able to contribute to this project. Thank you so much for putting up with all my little nitpicks and turning these clips into such an incredible finished product.

This has always been one of my favorite series in the machine community, and you all really outdid yourselves this time. There were so many satisfying, intricate, and mind-blowing tricks in this astounding collab. I also really like the variety; every builder has a unique style and the clips are all really different, making each one feel special in its own way. Well done, every one of you! This is really a masterpiece.

Impressive as usual! I like how seamless the transitions are; cwdreactions did a good job with the editing. I also like the background music you chose. It's not too overwhelming yet it gives the clips a nice sense of... I want to say balance. Ties everything together. I'm also impressed by the extensive comments you left for each of the other builders. I would totally do that if I were more versed in the machine lingo. I'm going to go watch your close up video of your section now :3
