I bought two of these for a little bit of taking the chill off in the morning in the camp van. Running for a short time off of 2 solar charged 12 volt deep cycle Maxx batteries.
I’ve noticed that when you hook the fan to 12v power it runs too fast and actually starts cooling the heating element off and losing some heat. I think that’s why people are using 8.5v for the fan to slow it down just enough to not cool off the heating element and have just enough fan speed to blow the heat but also enough speed to keep the wires from over heating and melting. This was the result of my own personal experiment. I will be using this fan to keep my Lithium batter bank compartment in my sprinter from getting to cold in the Colorado winter. My compartment is insulated so this tiny little 100w heater will be plenty!!

Big-thank you much appreciated, that would make sense. I we run bats with heating pads for batteries in teh commercial business enough to do the job
Curious the Voltage output you were getting from your panels test at on a sunny day? I dont always trust the sticker output they put, in your case the 18v panels might have been too low. I am ordering 12v ceramic tcp heater like you have but 50watt instead. I have 100w solar panels from Harbor Freight to try test this with

100 watt renergy. I need to one day look into it. I have double the cap on them now to 200 watt per, I run some Lifepo4 and man what difference on nasty days. but that is how things are I guess
The trick is to use the heater to heat something up rather than air, maybe a tin of oil?
Can you post a detailed video on how to wire it up for a wall outlet, please?

12 volt dc from 110 volt ac power supply is needed.
Voltage is one thing but it's the amperage that you wanna look at.

Absolutly correct.
Put your GoPro 10 in 5k in front of it and the house will stay very warm!

Actually the gopro generates more heat then the fan
I didn't know that they make 5V panels, interesting. Warm house for you all winter?
@dapperdingo

Yep. They're for charging Ipads and anything that runs or charges off of the 5.4 volt dc USB ports mainly.
I saw you twisting the wires, you said in my video that's not good.

I said my on your video clearly, my job does not allow twisting, I never said That I do not twist, the job will not allow it not me
