I do that a lot of times in Project64 without softlocking. I'm sure in real hardware softlocks.

This was my childhood. A true relic. I used to watch this on the computer when I was really young (I wasn’t allowed on KZread back then). Good memories…

I actually did #100 once. This was my first time visiting Dire Dire Docks, and I didn't know how dangerous whirlpools were back then. I was like, "Oh, a whirlpool. What fun!" Then, when I got sucked in and heard the evil laugh, I was like, "what? That's death? What kind of crap is that?" Then I realized, "oh, ok. I'll have to avoid that then."
