It's amazing being on these new high-speed trains. They are incredibly smooth and you actually don't realise just how fast you're really going. Normally you'd get the little humps and bumps but nope.. Just a smooth fast ride :P

The new train we have today such as the 800 are amazing they are not nosy they are nice and fast and very nice to be on unlike the older trains we have however I do like the good old stream train

Nice one, I have two hornby OO scale pendolino sets I have converted (with the help of an extra car) into a 7-car set. Powered cars at both ends otherwise it struggles up the grades at my local model railway club...

Ah thank you, makes sense now :) I guess a Cross Country Class 221 could only do 110mph since they have the tilt disabled?

David5495 they can still travel at 125 220s don't tilt and they can do that

@nwguyuk ok, i know this is reaallllly sad, but after careful analysis (i watched it 3 times), the second and third videos are not the same. In the second video, the guy in the blazer is stang ing t the right of the yellow line and in the third he's on the left of it. Sorry :)

There seems to be a slight track layout change, does the down main now have a slow line feeding into it ( formally part of the up main ) . The down slow line between Hartford Junction and Acton Bridge was severed from the down main.

The up Slow / Fast lines between Action Bridge and Hartford were reconfigured as part of the WCML upgrade back in 2008 - They reinstated the old Up Slow and realigned / relayed it to be the Up Fast from Hartford Junction - And the old Up Fast was relayed and designated Up Slow.

IIRC it was to save on maintenance costs or something like that

Indeed but I think they disabled it to save on maintenance cost which is what matters to them!

@diggerface1 they are not. on the 2 the light is red. on the 3 the light is green!

Wasn't it because after the split of the Cross Country franchise the tilt wasn't needed as they wouldn't operate along the WCML anymore?

Cross country services stopped running via the West Coast Main Line when Virgin took over the Cross Country routes in 2003 - It didn't make economical sense to compete with themselves. Now with Virgin's VHF (Very High Frequency) service post-2008, there wouldn't be the paths to run Cross Country services on the West Coast Main Line. Who knows what will happen IF / WHEN HS2 is built :)

The second and the third vids are the same, the man comes and looks at the virgin train and the man in the blazer starts talking to him on the 2nd and then again on the third!!!!!!!!!!!
