I think your advice to just stay behind the lorries is sound solid advice . I once drove home from Marlow Buck's to Aberdeenshire in a Fiat idea when it was stuck in take me home mode ( very limited power ) , that's what i did stayed behind a slower lorry as much as poss this worked out fine , my speed was about the same or even less than a 125 cc ( about the same as my Malaguti Olympique 50cc in the 70's ). Your advice to keep on top of the mirrors is key .

Thanks Rob, Yes hopfully it will help new riders. As we both know there is much more to it but I just want to drip feed info rather than a long video. Cheers E.R : )

Hi mate, just been out for a run out on my new Monkey Bike today, still running in so kept at 50mph on the dual carriageways, I take the view that if people want to travel faster there is an additional lane for them to overtake. Always position myself left of centre in the lane I'm travelling in and don't let myself get intimidated by other road users. Advice for new riders, don't ride to close to the gutter or you will end up being pushed into it. You have as much right to be on the road as anyone else! Good video and advice. Cheers.

@@jonathandeeley6276 have you got one of the new monkeys Jon? I take it you still have the 300r?

@@exeterrider Yes, still got the 300R, that's a keeper! Picked the Monkey up last Saturday (1st) and traded in the Scoot. Thought at first I wouldn't like it but I'm getting used to it now particularly as the engine is starting to loosen up a bit. Very impressed with the build quality. Was looking at the Grom which was £600 cheaper, very nice looking bike but felt very uncomfortable with the seat, think the Monkey is well worth the extra money. Cheers, look forward to more of your videos.

@@jonathandeeley6276 yes the monkeys are super. Groms get boring after a while. Would love to see it. Did you go yellow or red?

My journey to work is predominantly motorway, and as fuel economy is my god I stick in lane one. The upside of this (on my Honda NC750X DCT) is 90+mpg on a regular basis. I also find the ride far less stressful than a full-on blast at higher speeds using all lanes.....

Very good advice and riding style there Bib. That's exactly how it should be. Keep up the good riding practice. Ride green (as in the rev bar staying green on the NC). 👍😉
