Maxpider FTW. I used to by Weathertech but after picking up my first set of Maxpider floor mats, I've never gone back. I need to get a set of these for my 124.

Thank you. I love them. We have them in both our 124s now.

We like the 3D MAXpider Kagu's so much, we just ordered matching set for Saxy, our 2nd 124.

For the Weathertech Mats you could pick up some cheap sticky back velcro and use the hook side on the bottom to keep them from sliding but for the price, they should already have that. I bought the 3D Maxpider Kagu floor mats. They don't slide but I'm having a hard time trying to get the mat holder tabs to pass through the holes.

I got the LUXUS Premium floormats from 500madness and really like them. Very good fit, and they stay put. Supposedly they are normally $99.99 but they are on sale now for $59.99. The stock floormats look really nice but they'd quickly get ruined, especially in the winter.

Very helpful video. One question: how close is the 3D's shade of black to that of the interior carpet and plastic trim? It looks a little lighter/more gray from the photos and your video. Does it match up ok?

Thanks for the great review! I don't see a part number anywhere and when I go to the 3D Maxpider site they don't list Fiat 124's. Is there a secret part number we should be looking for?

I have the same 124 weather tech mats. They do wiggle a little, but not to the extremity that you mentioned. Although they have faded a bit on the driver's upper part from my foot rubbing against it, I'm still glad I got them. I agree with protecting the passenger hump since it's carpet.👍 Please do a follow-up a frew months/year from now on the 3D. I have a feeling although they look good now, that material won't last as long as the weather tech. Most importantly, I support US companies that make their products in the US so I am a weather tech fan over the 3D made in taiwan.

Yes. I asked in several forums and about 70% of respondents said theirs never broke free. About 30% said they had the same issue as I did - the mats break completely free.

@@DropTopTees Add me to the list of "the move around all over the place"... the snaps do virtually nothing and the weathertech mat seems like it is too small.

Had a fiat 124 with the 3D and loved them. Recently updated to a Miata rf and it had weather techs in it. I was not a huge fan with the movement. Also if someone improperly cleans the weather techs it will be slippery getting into that small car.

For the record, as I forgot to mention this in the video, WeatherTech says use diluted dish soap or similar to clean the mats. 3D Maxpider says to use half strength dish soap. Using stronger products can mess them up. And yes, the WeatherTechs do get slippery; heck, the bottoms slide easily even when clean.

I had Weathertech once, and my heel bore a hole and stained my carpet in 6 months!

Never had that problem. We've had WeatherTech in our Mustang (now my son's Mustang) for years with out an issue like that.

I strongly agree with you about the lack of protection for the carpet over the passenger floor hump. I own an MX5, and luckily it's a right-hand drive, so I can be extra careful about not stepping onto the carpet, since the hump is on my side. I am a total maniac, so I would be constantly worried about what the passenger does with their feet if the hump was on their side... 😜

Not sure they are cheaply made, but I think the 3D Maxpiders look much nicer.

@@DropTopTees they just look so cheap and plastic. I am sure they do the job just fine but the 3D Maxpiders look like a lot more effort went into them to make them work and look good.
