Good to see a Main Event cabinet out in the open. Many of these ended up getting converted into Crime Fighters or even TMNT. The way I see it, the one reason why Main Event was a ''decent, but not as successful as expected'' game was because the American version didn't have a set amount of matches like the Japanese version which ends after the 5th successful match, and as long as the player had energy left, the game kept going. Another reason why there wasn't many of these was because allegedly, Konami was worried that the WWF (back when they had an F instead of an E) was going to sue them due to copyright infringement on account that some of the wrestlers resembled their real wrestlers (i.e. Conan The Great spoofing Hulk Hogan, San Antonio Smasher resembling Koko B. Ware, and Kamikaze Ken resembling Ricky Steamboat Dragon). Finally, the one upside to Main Event is that the engine was meant to be an experimental engine which would be used in Crime Fighters, and eventually enhanced for TMNT.

Perhaps if you have free time you might consider looking at his channel " supershotbattymanbor " and subscribing. And todd should have way more subscribers too, some of the relics on here have been better than indiana jones, real treats you are not likely to ever see again especially with the details to back it up. Let the geewhizbangs do it. Happ builds conversion kits for it, but those are pricey as hell. I did a little research. One wag took an LCD and hooked it directly into the RGB outputs on the board with no difficulty.

My woman said if I bought one more game home she was moving out, ALL I SEE IS A WIN WIN SITUATION. so I have to get a new game fast!!!

wow finally someone got the Slalom kit :O thunk. Think you need to have say Scott and his phone shoot some 360 degree photos (or virtual video? ha) in there. (or get a drone? ha bound to break and crash. maybe a long bore cam (a webcam like camera on a stick on the end of a long usb wire. Shove it up a longer tube have a computer around and viola shoot stuff from the back. (they usually come with lights but one caveat. Orientation. :P) Might need to put up a tent and have a sale , put em outside for one.

naturally I'd love to buy one but haven't the money , not a priority at the moment , and seeing the ones around here when I do they look horrid. Which is probably why many of the arcade spots have closed :( as both malls are nearly empty. I never understood why strip malls are more popular than malls. What to do on either a rainy or cold and snowy day but hold up in the mall.

Hi Todd great Vid wow you have some games! Quick question on how you restore vinyl side art, is there a way to repair tears or do you just have to shotgun the whole side with new? Just got a Team play Centipede/MC/MP/Bowling game off CL works great fixed the power supply but the side art has some tears. Thanks man watch the channel every week!

You really cannot fix that vinyl...BUT, you could trim it out....say just keep the colored area and razor out the white...it peels off easily.

I have one of those midway cabinets that someone converted to a space invaders....so its sort of bootleg...but it works but the power connect will need work...you could have for $300...big advantage is it las a 22 inch screen rather than the usual 19"...I think it was a bally midway baseball game....its actually in an older bargain basement video
