RB motors in my opinion sound more like an orchestra, the 1 and 2jz motors just sound more savage / aggressive!

they both sound good, I prefer the rb, but something anyone with any semblance of taste can agree on is they both sound a million times better than a new gtr engine.

Absolutely insaine, Love the way a top mount twin RB looks. But does anyone else notice how even a top mount twin set up has a completely different exhaust note at high RPM? A big single setup just sounds incredible to me.

for the guys who dont know,the rd28 is from nissan patrol, single overhead cam,makes 113 horsepower and 85 to 90 kilowatts,capable of making over a 1000 horsepower without any reinforcements to the block

Super old post but here you go, 3100+Driver+cage+massive intercooler+massive turbos+surge tank, extra pumps,+auto trans. And possibly nitrous setup to get the car up on the converter. That stuff adds up quick.

Can you make a diesel one? I used to have a r34 for 8 years but went got myself a Rd28 gu. Always wondered if you can combine the two

It sounded like some crazy rod knock at the end

Awesome car, but it didn't sound too happy from 2:20 onward. When he was stopping it sounded like a cylinder or 2 was missing, and then possibly rod knock on the launch. It also seemed to me that it was smoking a lot towards the end of the run, especially on that first bang at the end. Might just be his tune, but I'm not sure.

factory crank angle sensor housing that looks like it's been modified with a hall effect optical sensor.

People who drive these cars have nuts because you can't just order overnight parts from Japan .. I love these hybrid builds where the blocks are from average street cars. This is becoming common in the big manufacturer world where many different heads will fit a number of blocks . ( In the GM world they call it Franken blocks )
