I Noah Thomas, the creator of this channel, have been diagnosed hypogonadism by a medical doctor and legally prescribed the medically indicated treatment of Testosterone Replacement Therapy.
My Story
My name is Noah and on May 18 2011, I had a rare reaction to a medication called VIVITROL and consequently, spiraled into a suicidal depression with depersonalization and anxiety. I lost 25 lbs in 4 weeks and was in full panic or near panic for 8 weeks straight mixed with the darkest most painful depression I cold have ever imagined. I immediately could not work and had to move in with my parents who, along with many siblings and friends, had to watch me 24/7 as I was a danger to myself. Eventually I was hospitalized in the Psych Ward for a week. Getting through each day seemed truly unbearable and I knew I would surely die. I have been put on many many different doctor prescribed SSRI's SNRI's Tricyclics, mood stabilizers, anti-psychotics, holistic meds, acupuncture and even a form of shock therapy called RTMS. I barely saw any improvement in my condition for a full year. It was decided I had treatment resistant depression and I spent nearly every moment in tears. Weeks after starting my newest round of medications (Seroquel & Nortryptaline) as a last ditch effort, I had my blood drawn for possible hormone imbalances and my Testosterone levels came back 200 ng/Dl and 150 ng/Dl. The average 25 year old male has 750 ng/Dl. With this discovery I had an explanation as to why I was not getting better and why I might be so so sick. The symptoms of Low T are very similar to those of major depression. I started legally prescribed testosterone replacement therapy soon after and have been checking in with the world and documenting my experience with treatment as well as giving my insight and perspective on various topics of mental health. I am blessed to say that I have slowly, over the last 6 years, been improving and becoming more stable which I never thought to be possible. My low T manifested itself in the form of Major depression, anxiety, and depersonalization/ derealization for over a year. Treating my low testosterone has been 1 HUGE part of the puzzle but I have had to continue to work hard to hold on to my mental stability with many set backs. Gaining some mental stability back is nothing short of a miracle as I was near death for what felt like forever. I do not consider myself to be totally healed yet but I am closer now then ever before and aim to use what I have been through to help or at least offer support to others in need I was able to successfully come off my Seroquel and Pamelor.
I work out all the time as a part of my mental health recovery!!! Weight training and all kinds of cardio rule much of my free time and I also share this on my channel.

I’ve been on TRT just over 3 months. I started at 180mg a week and I got all the benefits but was having some unwanted side effects. Hot flashes, red face, blood pressure was up and down, and a feeling of anxiety. I almost quit but I rode it out. Believe it or not they increased my dose to 200 mg a week and after 2 and half months almost all the side effects have gone away. If I have issues my hemoglobin or red blood cell count gets a little high but I donate blood once a month and it goes back to normal. I have zero complaints at this point. Truly life changing.

Invest in a good quality clinic. I use Hormone Health & Wellness Palm Neach because they are basically the cheapest but I only stay with them because I have a separate private practice Dr (very educated in T) that I get to see in person for any questions I have. We work on a lot more than just T

@@TechMaster101-uf5eb be sure to express your goals to them as many think everyone wants 200mg a week.. you want a DR that will start you low and work up slowly until your symptoms are resolved. several important reasons for this that GOOD drs care about, but influencers and legal steroid users will say "oh DRs are so shitty he only gave me 60mg a weeek". that is drug seeking behaviour. remember your dont NEED high T all day as levels folks target are the MaX levels healthy males have for a 2-3 hrs a day...ie if take test and are at 850, that means you actually have test levels of a male who prob peaks at 1300 ie way above normal. also you dont need to be as high as many people think because once you activate the androgen receptors they dont need to be flooded 24/7 to resolve symptoms.

well if arent hunched over with 0 muscle poor beard growth and under 30yo chances are arent low T.. I imagine he wasnt super low T esp if looked at conversion of E. JUST like heroin, T can mask a whole lot of issues and perhaps not the best approach esp as until very very recently the dangers including heart attack stroke infertility were too large esp for younger people. heroin is addictive just like T and essentially could be considered remedy for low dopamine. opiates give people drive, never get sick because of high dopamine, can work harder at there job and even workouts, aswell as loose social anxiety etc.. anyway yes nutrition is important and most DRs ive ever saw always say eat better and work out more for basically every issue. they also know that low T can be faked very easily or can get teh odd low reading so before starting TRT GOOD Drs will test your T levels LH etc 2-3 times over 8 months or so before considering TRT.. 2 should be the min esp with no previous tests from years before. TRT is not a panacea so many people think it is, but it is not. you can get yourself into a worse space shutting off your testicals that produce alot more hormones than testosterone, and simply arent available to supplement with, this goes 10X for people with mental health issues and wanting T to be the cure. again, while yes T makes everything feel better, so does opiates or antidepressents, there is NO FREE LUNCH, ever...

Yes indeed I absolutely could not agree more. I appreciate you being so vulnerable. I am a disabled veteran and a survivor of severe physical and mental child abuse. The way you described your feelings in the beginning and the end of the video is exactly how I feel. I've known my entire life that I do not suffer from depression but there is definitely something else. I have tried everything and I'm still stuck and so frustrated. I just got off the phone today with a clinic that seems very trustworthy out of florida. I'm getting ready to go do my labs as soon as possible. And I'm convinced that I will come back for low testosterone. I really appreciate your breakdown of your experience and especially how you figure out how to dose it correctly small doses over time. Obviously there is a lot of concern about this because the financial obligation and the effect on your natural abilities but I really think that this is the right move. I guess you just get so sick and tired of being sick and tired you know. You're a real hero to so many and I'm glad that I stumble across your video and my search for answers. I will definitely be subscribing and following your channel and looking for that video you're talking about working out on trt. I even became a certified personal trainer and I'm not looking to get jacked I'm just looking to get well. It's really amazing looking at you back then and seeing you now obviously this is working very well for you not only physically but mentally. Thank you very much my friend peace love and light and may all your wildest dreams continue to come true. Blessed be my friend.

Thanks for the info on this. I just started my therapy this week. It's something I had to do a ton of research on to convince me that I needed it. You talked about doing trt for the right reasons. As a guy that was diagnosed with ckd 2 years ago the gym has become a part of my life. With that being said my wife who is on HRT herself asked what my true motives were. I had to think long and hard about that. Longevity, and quality of life is what I landed on. I guess what I am trying to say is to anyone who is seriously thinking about doing this make sure you do your own research and be fully committed. It's not a miracle shot instead It's there to help you. Thank you for the content. You hit the nail on the head. Looking forward to future videos

Hi Noah, Much respect for your share, objective insights & vulnerability for the benefit of others. Your experience personally resonates as far as struggling to find solutions to MH challenges & the role our complex endocrine system’s delicate balance has in MH. I know factually as a type 2 diabetic who occasionally wears a continuous blood glucose monitor the role specific P, C, F, Fiber macros & volumes have on my BG, specific exercise types & intensities and to my point my mental health state & mindset as I visually watch my BG rise when anxious or stressed. Of course I’m referring to the influence or lack of influence another hormone has in health, insulin. My BG is slightly elevated & controlled without drugs, but I’m far less insulin sensitive than I’d like to be given it’s so easy to put on extra fat, difficult to lose it & difficult to add much more than a little muscle. I’ve not taken T as yet, but am considering doing so. Not for the hypertrophy opportunity it offers (I’d welcome that) but firstly to better allow me to work on my MH challenges on a consistent daily basis by bringing me more energy & positivity to do so. Daily fatigue & negativity are such significant impairments to almost anything we aspire to achieve. Or fight to achieve. Last bloodwork, my T was at 320. Fairly normal for a 64yo, although I do lift fairly heavy, get my 8-9hrs and eat a supportive diet with good fats, etc. to support GH and T production. And my Dr sees this as normal & healthy meaning T is not the issue so no need to consider TRT. It may not be, but after ruling sleep apnea, etc etc out, I’m feeling that my personal T norm is at the higher level just to feel normal and to have a fighting chance on “those” days. So I’ll be checking out a reputable Dr driven on-line TRT clinic to check my various markers & go from there. Thanks again Noah. Keep taking those important steps forward.

Just found you and some of the things you identify here are exactly what im going through, thanks for sharing! Ive been on/off anti depressants for around 5 years and have tested testosterone privately throughout this period, always very low but i didnt want to jump on the TRT train too soon or at all as it felt morally wrong somehow (my warped perception at the time). Now on Test cream 5 months after having a second breakdown of sorts and now off the anti-depressants which has left me feeling mildly better but I also realise i need to up my exercise to daily workouts not because i want to be fitter/bigger necessarily as im happy with where im at...but because it quiets my busy mind somehow. 100% being on TRT doesn't mean you'll end up in amazing shape quickly. Nor, in my albeit short experience so far, am i waking up feeling like an Avenger(!) but definitely a few percent better which I'll take versus where i was before :) Maybe things will improve further but we will see. Thanks again, im subscribed.

@@winstonbrown1516 my total T was 159. Extremely low. I'd been working out 5 days a week for almost 10 years and eating healthy. I couldn't lose fat and couldn't gain muscle. I had low libido, brain fog, lethargy, low confidence, afternoon naps, etc. I had 9 of the top 10 signs of low T. So I got on TRT. Now my time in the gym is doing what I think it should have done all along. I'm gaining a lot of muscle and my body is changing. Erections are 100% better. My wife is very happy. Energy is up. Confidence is up. And I have a much better outlook on life. Still dealing with brain fog issues, still getting tired at weird times as well, but working on all those.

I have been battling the same life and mental things and yes the hormone side is one of the bigger things although like you’ve said it’s not everything. You look great these days by the way, fasting etc is good I’ve found , killer losing as much muscle as I have but i can feel it’s more healthy not eating so much or the things I was eating. Your page is a good watch I’m gonna find you on Facebook as I didn’t know you were over there too and it’s even a while since I last saw your journey . Take it easy 👍

I went the opposite way you did, but it was no less awful. As my test lowered I didn't become depressed, I became anxious and irritable. I became a miserable person to be around because all I did was worry, complain and criticize. TRT made me able to relax, breathe and, finally, able to socialize effectively and maintain positive relationships. Man, everyone is different, but no one can deny the importance of these hormones.

I just made the decision to start my TRT, my testosterone is at 233. I used to be very active, going to the gym play college soccer, national champion on TKD. And it is sad that I don't have the energy to even play with my kids, I hope TRT helps me. I'm a 45 year old dad trying to get back to normal.....

56 and on Testosterone Cypionate for last 4 months. Blood test before TRT was 412 ng/dl. Just got tested a week ago and I was at 1,290 ng/dl. My doctor has me on 100 mg per week. I inject subcutaneously (not in the muscle) in my abdomen. Suffice it to say that I feel healthy and an increased desire to work out and to be in motion. The very first thing you notice when you start TRT is increased libido.

I wish I would have found this channel a year ago. I have been on TRT since last July. I suffer from the same issues. I'd like to say things are better, but my doctor just never did labs, even after asking him. I am educating myself and looking for another provider, and I'll just deal with my own labs. The doctors are too ingnorant. I am worse now than before I started treatment. I have almost lost my job. I am starting to get my life back this week. I hope. I wish I wouldn't have let things drag out this long, but I work nights, struggle with everything you mentioned, and have crawled into a cave basically. I HAVE to find my way out. Thank you for everything you do.

Good well stated info by someone 25 to 35ish. I'm 64, 5 ft 8, 140 lbs dancer, gymnast, fitness person. I bet getting ripped abs is a whole lot easier on TRT since T is artificially kept high while on months long calorie deficit. Normally, T plunges when starving. I tried 4 times...and I got skinny, but no ripped abs and lost muscle too. Once I find some Roids, I will see if this is the magic sauce to getting ripped without getting totally skinny.
