    9. Is not quite accurate. Slurping noodles loudly is generally considered rude in Korea (unless you are watching mukbang). Some Koreans don't think much about it but many hate when others slurp noodles. Everything else is pretty accurate. Wearing matching couple clothes is a trend but now many trendy couples prefer complementary clothes rather than identical. Source: I am a professor. My Korean Aunt through marriage slurps her noodles. When she first arrived with my Uncle she had to stay with us till he got Military housing. My grandmother spoke Spanish & not so much in English. My Aunt would try her best to speak English. It drove my Grandmother crazy when she would slurp. Is she doing that on purpose to upset me. Grandma she isn’t. This was in the 70’s and we knew nothing about Korean culture or be able to google it.. Both would try so hard to communicate in English. Both in broken English.

Misinformation: It is Japanese culture that makes sounds when eating noodles. Of course, it is rude in Korea, too. Some KZreadrs and broadcasters are exaggerating to look like they are enjoying their food. Even in Korea, it is polite not to make sounds.

    2. If we draw a distinction between looking white and looking pale, many Koreans go for a pale look because 1) traditionally it's been associated with less outdoor labor and thus high class, 2) genetically it's rarer to have less melanin in your skin and thus remain pale even after being in the sun (scarcity value), and 3) many Koreans have yellowish undertone in their skin which may appear to look yellower when tanned and it makes it quite tricky to dress in different colored garments without risking to look extra green or tired. 9. As for the Koreans slurping loudly, it's the *opposite* to acceptable, traditional table manners. Sometimes if you are eating noodles or certain soupy foods, it's difficult to make no noise, but it's only been viewed as 'alright' in recent days when some mukbang KZreadrs began exaggerating slurping noises in their videos.

As a proud Korean I must need to say somethings. (No hate I’m just saying) First. Yes some Koreans are tanned like for an example a Korean idol is tan but no one hates them. People just choose if they want to be tan or not it doesn’t really matter. Also matching couples doesn’t really matter it just makes them more cute together :) And using both hands do show respect when ur receiving or giving Also most of you (I hope) know k-pop. Yes some dances are interesting but most of them they tried all of their best and worked very hard to perfect them. For the surgery- idk Yes people do slurp noodles very loudly (not EVERY Asian culture do that) because it means that the food is delicious in Korea and I’m not speaking for everyone that is apart of another Asian culture but some people do it in Korea! And wacky stores. Again not all stores are wacky but their are some cute ones for travelers as a souvenir

As a korean I can see some of wrong things but thank you for introducing korea…😂 1. At home, We often use toilet paper when we eating or clean something, but almost every restaurant has napkins and 물티슈(wet wipes). But if they use toilet paper in restaurants what is wrong with it?? Paper is clean thing😂 2. As a Korean That is true but nowadays you can see many people with tanned skin on TV show. And Some people may have treatments to be white, but in my case I just don't tan my original skin color lol Does this look strange in other countries?😂 And Koreans liked white skin long before they had interactions with the Western(thousands of years ago). "White skin" refers to skin with a bright tone, transparency, and no blemishes, pimples. We liken it to a 백옥. We've been putting on makeup since a long time ago by applying bright powder to our faces. This is our traditions, not to look white peoples. And if you look at the skin color map in this world, you can see that Koreans, Japanese, and Chinese originally have bright skin when they born. Then should we tanned our skins😂 Of course they’re Koreans who have dark skin. We don't want to be white people. And we call white people "백인" and we call white "하얗다." In Korean, we use the two separately and we don’t say I wannabe 백인, we says I wanna get 하얀피부(하얗다). It’s like a “Pale” And what is wrong with this that we like white sink. I know some of people like to tan their skins, and I think its same thing as that we like white skin 4. Literally no one use LG phones, but the their electronic appliances are popular(Like TV, refrigerator, air conditioner…), In young generation Samsung phones are not popular and almost students use IPhone and I’ve never heard of the Samsung, Lg car 😂 Hyundai, Genesis and Kia are popular 7. also true the legality is same as international age but everyone use korean age in real life 9. Nope In Korea, you should not make noise if you eat noodles or other foods( In japan making sound when you eating noodles is manner) 10. lol that’s right Korea is the fifth-largest country in plastic surgery, and 30% of it is made up of foreigners. In terms of the number of people, first place is the United States, second place is Brazil, and then China, Japan, and Korea 11. actually no one use that even that is clean and many restrooms are changed

I tried telling this to an Asian family, and they looked at me like I had just brought shame upon the entire universe. I know understand why. The reason for the rule is that my boss' daughter had to get a restraining order on a stalker years ago. So they knew how bad stalking could get, and how hard it id to get away from. So the rule is actually to make sure nobody else in that situation ends up with their photo online, with a location tag, on a big influencer's social media without their knowledge and consent. It might be weird and stupid to some people, but ey, you can always go somewhere else 🤷🏻‍♂️
