I'd like to see a video of how you guys first create that first hidey hole food plot located in the timber on that flat. Like the steps from cutting down trees, clearing, prepping and planting. Thanks as always for the great content.

Ever try a forestry mulcher. If you cut most of the bigger stuff and push to 1 side. Not a ton of chips. U can slowly no til drill it.

Mulch will tie up most of the nutrients in the soil to break down, starving the new crop.

Grant, I enjoy your videos and am trying to work towards gly free plots with drill/crimper but I had a question...in northern Ohio where last winter had pretty good snowfall, do you think your fall blends can offer the pulling power of standing corn into Feb when we have 8" of snow for extended period?

Jesse - Probably not. Corn is full of carbs and deer seek carbs when it's cold. However, corn takes up real estate that could be producing protein when bucks are producing antlers and does producing milk.

Are you guys working on the part if the property that's not listed to sell? Also you said spray and burn it. I have a hidy hole that had last years wheat and forge rye that's dead should I burn? Or broadcast and lay it over the top?

Leon - we are working on the both - the property we'll sell and keep. Seeds need good contact with the soil so their root reaches the soil when they germinate. If the existing vegetation is too thick, it will be best to terminate it and burn, etc.
