12 Reasons Why You Should Move To Glasgow

Why should you move to Glasgow, Scotland? Looking for a new city to call home? Check out our guide on why you should move to Glasgow! This city might just be the perfect fit for you.
Everyone has their own reasons for moving to a new city. For some, it's an opportunity to start fresh in a new environment. For others, it's about following their dreams and pursuing new goals. But for those looking for a city that has it all, Glasgow should be at the top of your list.
In this video, we look at why you should move to Glasgow as your new home. So, read on and discover why Glasgow might be the perfect place for you!
12. You Can Easily Get Out to Glasgow
Glasgow may be a big city, but it's actually quite easy to get out into nature if you need a break from the hustle and bustle of urban life. You can find stunning lochs, rolling hills, charming villages outside the city center, and more. If you're feeling city-weary, it's easy to escape to a peaceful place where you can enjoy the beauty of the natural world. And if you're looking for some adventure, there are plenty of opportunities for hiking, biking, and other outdoor activities. Thus, nature is always within reach in Glasgow when you want some peace.
11. Shopping
It is an enjoyable experience to shop in Glasgow. For those who enjoy designer labels, there are plenty of upscale stores to explore. But even if you're not looking to spend a lot of money, there are still plenty of great deals to be found. In addition, the city is home to several independent boutiques that offer a more unique shopping experience. This makes Glasgow a great place to shop for everyday items and special occasions.
10. Live Music
Glasgow is a city that loves its music. No matter what time of year you visit, concerts and festivals always happen throughout the city. And if you're a fan of live music, you'll feel right at home here. There's a wide variety of genres to choose from, so whether you're into rock, pop, folk, or anything in between, you'll be able to find something to your liking. And if you're lucky enough to catch a show at Glasgow's iconic venues like the Barrowland Ballroom or the OVO Hydro, you're sure to have an unforgettable experience. So come on and enjoy the best Scottish culture - the live music scene is not to be missed!
9. Glasgow is Less Touristy
While it's certainly not an unknown city, Glasgow doesn't get nearly as much tourism as other major UK cities like London or Edinburgh. It means you can experience all the city has to offer without crowds of tourists getting in your way! Glasgow has plenty to offer visitors, from its rich history and culture to its stunning architecture and lively nightlife. But because it's not as well-known as other cities, you can enjoy these things without battling crowds of tourists. Moving to Glasgow is worth considering if you're looking for a city that offers all the best of the United Kingdom without the tourist hordes.
8. Amazing Nightlife
Glasgow's nightlife scene is also not to be missed. There's something for everyone, with a wide variety of bars and clubs to choose from. If you're looking for a laid-back atmosphere, there are plenty of pubs where you can relax and chat with friends. Or, if you're looking to let loose and dance the night away, there are plenty of clubs where you can do just that. And if you're looking for something in between, many bars offer a more lively atmosphere without being too hectic. No matter your taste, you're sure to find a place that suits you in Glasgow's nightlife scene.

I think the issue is that there's a lack of affordable accommodation near the uni. Everyone wants the "uni experience" of being in the west end. My advice is get a cheap flat (or house for the same price as a west end flat) in the east end and use public transport
