Second that! Annihilation of the Wicked blew my mind when I first heard it, I must have been 14 or 15. Still a top 5 for me 15 years later.

Immolation's riff is taken from their song "Into Everlasting Fire" (not "Burial Ground").

Yeah I realized that like a month and a half after. I was listening to Dawn of Possession in it’s entirety, and I was like “wait, this is not Burial Ground :y”

that phobophile riff is just legendary... _and a great way to get carpal tunnel :))_

I'm SO gonna listen to MA tonight... ...great effort young man! As mentioned earlier, you're too young to have witnessed the rise of DM in the late '80's - and musically, back then being in my early '20's, this was an ear-opener to me like few other genres.

I’m 90% sure that the second part of pull the plug was played wrong. Other than that: killer playing- killer riffs.

That guitar is the one I use for doing a lot of tunings, and I’m not running the thickest of strings. I feel like if I attempted Nile on it, it would probably die on me while sounding like slushy spaghetti. Also I’m a weenie and Nile riffs scare me 🐒

thrash/death, somewhere between, like Cancer or Deaths early stuff, Scream Bloody Gore and To The Gory end are both pretty thrasy
