Brilliant!! Thanks a million
this is fantastic! ill now revive all of my old pcs i have laying around to put them to work :D thanks Martyn!!
This was very helpful. Thanks!
You made my day, thanks a lot 🕺
very nice tip!
Thank you very much for the video! One question, does the ram load go to computer 1 or is it balanced between all?
Thank you so much !
Can we do this through Wifi network instead of LAN?
My secondary computer agents are there and ready, and they do end up with tasks assigned like "12 / 0" but the status never changes from 0.0%. Just an FYI. I did add them by scanning the ip, first the password was wrong and it will indicate that to you. Fixed password and it then showed the hardware name of each core on my secondary. Any ideas??
Somehow, I'm only able to activate one core at a time when I try to add more. Do you know what can be the problem.
Hi man, the imported agents/cores keep changing from 'connecting' to 'ready' back and forth. How can i fix this?
Got it configured by allowing access from windows firewall advanced settings; in inbound rules. basically I connected two VPS, and set the profile to public, not home or work network. I know it does not feel right but if there are other options suggested by anyone, it would be appreciated. I have seen an option to connect specific PC but I did not explore it yet.
Can I use this to borrow CPU power from other PCs to use in a Master PC to run applications?
Any tip on how to do this between 2 VPSs that, obviously, aren't on the same network?
Is this possible if I use a Linux system through Wine? I am having problems when I try to activate my cores on the Secondary PC Metatester Agents Manager. Nothing happens when I press "Add". The error messages I recieve in the Terminal on the Secondary PC are: 003c:fixme:service:scmdatabase_autostart_services Auto-start service L"MetaTester-9" failed to start: 1053 003c:err:service:process_send_command service protocol error - failed to write pipe! 0068:err:ole:start_rpcss Failed to start RpcSs service Grateful for your help!
Nice video! Thank you! Is there any tuto to add an distant pc? Because the agent shows only the local ip adress and not the externe? Any advice? Thanks, Patrick

I believe they need to be on the same network. There might be something that networking gurus could do to join networks together but that isn't my area of expertise I'm afraid. Let us know if you manage to achieve it :)
Okay, so MT4 Strategy Tester is 32 bit and one single core at a time. And MT5 is 64 bit and lots of cores simultaneously, if you have them. How come on an i7-8700K MT4 runs faster than MT5 (using 12 cores) with the same EA? What level of speed improvements are others seeing on a single machine?
Maybe you can help me, my others networks just appear "Ready" not working at all, how Can I fixed ? Help me please
i'm using a windows 10 pc, my agents are not connecting to the cloud. but they're visible as running

It's not your own agents that connect to the cloud. If you want to use "cloud" agents, you will need to pay MetaQuotes to use the cloud agents that are available in their platform. Alternatively you could just use "Local" and "Network" agents as described in the video. Hope this helps
I connected 3 PCs, it works but it hasn't significantly increased the speed of the backtest
In your example the secondary PC only shares half of its cores.

no, the scan results show 1 pc with 4 cores and 1 pc with 2 cores. His PC has 8 cores. So all of them are combined in the optimization test
What would have been better, is show how to configure, windows firewall and own router.
