Yessss the legendary gumshara. I crave it every 2 years cos it's soooo decadent
Former employee at Gumshara, glad you liked it! Haven't been there in years but glad to see she's still doing good.
Glad to see ramen spread all over the world.
What I like about Mike is he tries his best to finish every dish he gets. Very respectful man

if he ate all those in one day.... at least for me, i'd explode or fell straight into a coma
Sydney is now added to my bucket list for the second ramen place alone🤤
U sure are the hotpot God. Anytime I hear about hotpot, ur name that comes to mind. Great video.
Wow, mikey, you are so lucky, i really like how you presented each dish with such gusto. And your appetite, omg i wish i had your appetite, i would just eat one dish and be full
Love the sydney content!!!
Perfect timing for the Sydney videos, Mike! The family and I will be visiting later in June. Will definitely try some of these places out!

Gumshara is worth it and is in the CBD. So enjoy if you can.
Every single dish look so good, hard to pick a favorite at least from distance, but I bet all of them were amazing 👌🏻
Love the video, also played a game take shot everytime mike said "Umami" 😂❤
One thing he didn't mention about Gumshara is that the chef comes in on his day off to check the broth. Good broth can be a 1 week process. Also check out Ryo's in North Sydney. It's been around a very long time and hasn't been toppled by the newer restaurants. Even Gumshara is considered new compared to Ryo's
So good to see one of my favourite youtuber in my nearest city. I tried to go to one of the ramen store but it was so busy. Next time we go to Sydney we will def try.
That all looks so delicious 😋
I grew up going to Gumshara and then playing at the internet cafe nearby, simpler times!
Damn that's nice food tour ❤❤❤
Hubby and I love Hakatamon Ramen - also in Haymarket, DELICIOUS! 🤌
That gives oyster stew a whole new meaning!
Soooo good!! If you’re still in town I have somewhere you absolutely HAVE to go!
All those ramen dishes looked amazing! So awesome that you found one of the best tonkotsu broths to be in Sydney Australia. That oyster hotpot ramen was fabulous

I recently took your advice and added a splash of vinegar to my noodle soups. Now I can't get enough, especially when the soup is extra rich. Thank you!

@@freetoplayaccount3487Back when i went to cullinary school, i was blown away by the effect acid has on different dishes.. Salty and fatty is pretty one dimensional, but adding that little splash of acid just lifts most dishes to new heights.
Gumshara is by far my fav ramen joint in Sydney.
Gotta love Mike's energy! But i wonder if there will EVER be a video where the majority of what he eat will be vegetables and greens haha
MIKEY I am far from eating noodle soups, Ramen. I like noodles so will have to try Ramen noodle shops here in America. I especially liked the osyter noodle soup because with the creamery broth with butter. Looks inviting. Mikey thank you for this tour of Ramen noodle soups. I ❤️ love the creamy soups. ❤🎉😊
Watching this while eating plain rice marinated with water
So glad you tried Gumshara Sydney has some world-class ramen places now, but sir you tried the best & OG in new location. Hope you found some laksa also some amazing bowls too.

Would have loved to see him try Ryos too as they’re the two OG ramens
Gumshara is Sydney’s OG alongside Ryos. Would have been cool to see you try Ryos too. But Sydney’s ramen game is banger To give some context, about a year ago Gumshara moved location and when they closed their OG store they had 30-60 min lines for a month because everyone knew it was closing.
That all looks so amazing!
Also context about Hanasuki. It is a sister shop to one of Sydney’s best Yakiniku spots called Choji, also in Chatswood. They serve a5 wagyu. They also do Omakase and what I prefer, niku omakase - which is a wagyu omakase rather than seafood. Worth a try if you can get in.

@@Dobuan75 enjoy! It’s expensive but imo worth the experience And if you just want to try them they do a cheaper lunch yakiniku set
Gumshara, a true Syd ramen institution.... just by looking at it i feel full already.... i can only handle once every few years Also you should try the laksa next to where you had your fish sandwich... Malay Chinese noodle bar

Wow great to see you eating your way around my home town! Hopefully you have other videos of eating in sydney to come!
Hi Mikey, So happy that you are doing some amazing Japanese cuisine. Just an FYI, Not maz soba but ma ZEH so ba. The G in Genmaicha is a hard G. Not ahn-sen egg, but OHN sen egg. Not ton kah tsu, but ton KOH tsu.

He also pronounces gyoza, "gee-yaw-za", in early videos.
So I came prepared this early morning to watch this with tomato and egg with pak choi with spam and sausage over garlic chili rice.
This is what Australia is. We might not have "Australian cuisine" but this country was FOUNDED by immigrants. So thats our culture. I am a proud Italian / Uruguayan. Australia wouldn't be ANYTHING without the immigrants, Asians, Italians, Greek, Spanish, Lebanese. etc
Hope you had a great time in Sydney Mikey! The thick broth at Gumshara is absolute class
Loving the Australia vlogs 🫶🥰❤️..x
Nice, would love to share secret spots with you, though they are already busy enough! Haha.
looks so good!
So glad you tried iiko mazesoba! I suggested this year's ago!!
that oyster hot pot looks it is made for more than 1 person xD
I loved the aside: I felt like I just applied chapstick! Brilliant!
YUM!!!!!!!!!!! The oysters are the best!
As a sydneysider I am very happy to try all of these!
what a perfect time, I've just arrived here in Sydney and am desperate to find some good Ramen places to try. Thank youuu

You should check Sydney fish market Mike, I’m sure you’ll enjoy a wide variety of fresh seafood that Sydney can offer.
You should come to South Africa and try our dishes
Yeet yeet yeet
Yeah Gumshara is pretty great. I like the Ippudo ramen too. Great vid, now I have a couple more places to try and visit :)

Just saying but the prices in AUD for a bowl of ramen is insane but that’s Sydney for you
Mikey, will you revisit Indonesia again???
When I was a teenager, I started adding vinegar to my instant ramen at home, along with some Dijonaise mustard, parmesan, walnuts, and diced tomatoes. My family thought I was crazy, but it was teenager food, yk? I ate what I liked. To this day, the flavor of that garbage ramen I made as a midnight snack still hits me right in the nostalgic comfort food feels. 😄
Shouldve gone to Chaco Ramen and/or RaRa
I NEED NOODLES !!!!!!! And I blame Mike Chen……
Awesome job Mikey drop a like for you
I’d be full after half a bowl of those noodles.
