Sir Jagdish Chandra Bose deserved Nobel Prize... But just like any other Indian he was quite humble and down to earth to apply for its patent...but eventually people recognized his contributions for Radio Communications

We owe a lot to the Indians, who taught us how to count, without which no worthwhile scientific discovery could have been made _ Albert Einstein India is the birth place of both Algebra and Geometry. In the Pythagoras Theorem, the square of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares of the two sides of the right-angle triangle. BC square=AB Square + AC Square. This was actually defined in Bodhayan Shulbhasootra(verse 1-12) in 800 BC. Astronomy-John Playfair, famous astronomer, wrote in his book in 190 that Inda has knowledge of astronomy for more than 6000 years. Some glimpses of ancient astronomy. Speed of light is described quite accurately in Rig Veda to travel @ 2202 yojans in half nimesh, which works out equal to 188766.67 miles per second. It is close enough to the modern calculations. Gravitation Pull-It is believed that Newton was first to discover earth's gravity but 550 years before him Bhaskaracharya had spoken about it. Solar and Lunar Eclipse-Great Indian astronomer Aryabhatta(499 AD) described the formation of Solar and Lunar Eclipses. He had also written about the distances of various plantes from sun. Medical Science-Ayurveda is an ancient Indian medical system which provides a natural and holistic approach to physical and mental health believed to be more than 5000 years old.the medicine aspect is mainly covered in Charak Samhita whereas Sushruta Samhita covers the surgical aspect.Sushruta describes 8 types of surgeries and gives details of the instruments and appliances necessary for those surgeries. Marine Science- India has a long history of boat and ship-building and voyage by sea. As per excavations in Gujarat it is believed that trade used to be carried on with Egypt from 2540 BCE. There are descriptions of big ships in Hindu scriptures. Ramayana,Mahabarata and Puranas as well. Metallurgy- Metals like gold, silver, silver, iron, tin, lead, copper and bronze etc. has been mentioned in our scriptures.A process of Zinc making goes back to the 4th Century BC. It is quite an involved process. The iron pillar next to the Qutab minar in delhi has been standing there for 1600 years without rusting. It has been centre of attraction for metallurgists around the world. Sage Agasthya was able to generate current from battery by using clay pot thousand years ago.Recently University of Clarifornia accepted his inventions. Newton Laws of Motions(1675) before him in 1st Century prashastpad Bhashya compared the velocity. Iron pillar of Delhi:The world's first iron pillar was the Iron pillar of Delhi-erected at the time of Chandragupta II Vikramaditya (375-413). The pillar has attracted attention of archaeologists and materials scientists and has been called "a testament to the skill of ancient Indian blacksmiths" because of its high resistance to corrosion. Stepwell: Earliest clear evidence of the origins of the stepwell is found in the Indus Valley Civilisation's archaeological site at Mohenjodaro in Pakistanand Dholavira in India. The three features of stepwells in the subcontinent are evident from one particular site, abandoned by 2500 BCE, which combines a bathing pool, steps leading down to water, and figures of some religious importance into one structure. The early centuries immediately before the common era saw the Buddhists and the Jains of India adapt the stepwells into their architecture. Both the wells and the form of ritual bathing reached other parts of the world with Buddhism. Rock-cut step wells in the subcontinent date from 200 to 400 CE. Subsequently, the wells at Dhank (550-625 CE) and stepped ponds at Bhinmal (850-950 CE) were constructed. Stupa: The origin of the stupa can be traced to 3rd-century BCE India. It was used as a commemorative monument associated with storing sacred relics. The stupa architecture was adopted in Southeast and East Asia, where it evolved into the pagoda, a Buddhist monument used for enshrining sacred relics. Squat toilet: toilets platforms above drains, in the proximity of wells, are found in several houses of the cities of Mohenjodaro and Harappa from the 3rd millennium B.C. Microwave Communication: The first public demonstration of microwave transmission was made by Jagadish Chandra Bose, in Calcutta, in 1895, two years before a similar demonstration by Marconi in England, and just a year after Oliver Lodge's commemorative lecture on Radio communication, following Hertz's death. Bose's revolutionary demonstration forms the foundation of the technology used in mobile telephony, radars, satellite communication, radios, television broadcast, WiFi, remote controls and countless other applications. Mysorean rockets: One of the first iron-cased and metal-cylinder rockets were deployed by Tipu Sultan's army, ruler of the South Indian Kingdom of Mysore, and that of his father Hyder Ali, in the 1780s. He successfully used these iron-cased rockets against the larger forces of the British East India Company during the Anglo-Mysore Wars. The Mysore Rockets of this period were much more advanced than what the British had seen, chiefly because of the use of iron tubes for holding the propellant; this enabled higher thrust and longer range for the missile (up to 2 km range). After Tipu's eventual defeat in the Fourth Anglo-Mysore War and the capture of the Mysore iron rockets, they were influential in British rocket development, inspiring the Congreve rocket, and were soon put into use in the Napoleonic Wars.

Need to do some reading on this now. However there is a deity Lord Vishwakarma who is credited with construction of the physical world.

You should learn and do Yoga specially since now you are trapped indoors with nothing else to do. It will surely help you to cope up with everything negative going around. Try to meditate for atleast 30 mins per day and chant 'Aum'. It works wonders...
