At 37:07 , there is a mistake; Cochineal already existed in the old world before the conquest of the new world. But it was not that same crimson red as mexican cochineal. Pre Colombian exchange vivid red dye was derived from the different cochineal native to the old world. Persian/Armenian cochineal (Porphyrophora hamelii) was native to middle east all the way to Armenia and the shade of red dye derived from it was called "KERMES", which was used extensively in middle eastern to far eastern textile arts. In Europe, Polish cochineal (Porphyrophora polonica L.) had a range all over central Europe and was the most commercially important source of red dye pre Colombian exchange. The dye produced was called "CARMINE" or "Saint John's blood" and was used by religious figures and royalty alike Notably, both types of cochineal in the old world have a history far longer than that if new world cochineal with Armenian cochineal being mentioned all the way back to the 8th Century BC. So with all this in mind, I find it astonishing that the team didn't do their research and due diligence and ended up writing a script that's laughable and ludicrous in it's claim that cochineal red dye was introduced to the old world after the discovery of the Americas.

Thank you for the celebration of women! They are indeed the strongest sex! As evidenced by biology. Unfortunately, societal norms and standards continue to subjugate women in a much lesser role. If the world was ruled by women, I believe that wars and other world problems would non exist. Unfortunately, we don’t have the opportunity. Thank you for sharing and such a positive message for women!

Business Insider I appreciate the making of this video and the importance of these career all around the world also the importance for doing the job perfectly by women too. But the title is a bit tricky, in 2024 where’s the gender equality? I mean sure we still need to give a lot of respect to women. But one wrong step it will be feel like women is superior than men, I’m talking about the title you put on. (Of course we wouldn’t put the title of “by men” , it would feel like gender inequality too)
