Was at this game last night, great atmosphere, very back and forth at the start, but Dukes pitching kept the Deacs cold the last 4 innings

After the game vs Georgetown, could see this coming.

Huge win by Duke they showing people what they really made of! Wake forest is a really tough out

I'm glad Duke won, but let's keep in mind that this is the first of a three game series.

I always forget how small Wake's field is. No wonder they had so many homer's last season. Also I absolutely hate artificial turf and whatever that is pretending to be dirt in baseball.

the reason why a lot of nc colleges have a turf baseball diamond is mainly cuz it gets so darn hot down here that the grass dies. it might be ugly because i agree but it works ig

@@JustAnotherVrGuy That makes some sense I guess but if they can manage to keep the grass alive in places like Baton Rouge, Florida, etc you would think they could manage it in NC. I know it doesn't get hotter there than the places I mentioned.

I wouldn’t call Wake overrated yet, but they definitely don’t look as dominant as they did last year so far. It’s still early so we’ll see.

I don’t think most people believe they are as good as last year missing players like Rhett Lowder will make you not as good. Yes they added Burns but as someone who has watched a lot of Tennessee ball Burns is not as good as Lowder.

I wouldn’t call Wake overrated. They’ve had a pretty easy schedule up until conference play. A lot of ACC teams are looking good this year so it will be good to see how they play the rest of conference games

So Duke is 11-1, Florida is 9-4 but Florida is 4 and Duke is 12? How does that work exactly? And they just beat the #1 team. Something doesn’t make sense here. Unless they only evaluate the standings once a week or something.

Record doesn't tell the full story since not all teams play the same number of games. It's based on power level, strength of wins/defeats, and other things that the committee decides on when they update rankings every Monday.
