In “Followed by a Werewolf,” the creature didn’t attack them. In fact, it was very welcoming. It clearly was trying to feed them, and offered them food! It was staring after them, wondering what it had done wrong. Poor thing!

"Werewolf Waits For Me", certainly an odd behavior. Sounds more like canine body language for wanting to play. Howls can also be indicative of psychological distress from loneliness. Caution is still advisable, but if this is in fact a Werewolf, there is a regular person inside there, and with human emotion and canine instinct overlapping and mingling, the search for regular human connections are not unheard of. An anchor to their own humanity, so as not to get lost in the beast. If you can find them when they're not... like that, would probably be the best time to approach them, and attempt a friendship. If they don't mind you taking about it, let me know how that goes.

Years ago I went bow hunting with my brother in law. They drove me up an old logging road, dropped me off and they took off to there locations. It got dark and they didn’t come back when they said so I started huffing it down the logging road. I had my bow, a hunting knife and my flashlight. As I’m walking, I hear this rustling in the bushes about 30 feet away. I look over and I see a baby black bear and the momma. They heading up the hill going the other direction. That’s was scary. If you know anything about black bears and their babies. They are dangerous. It took me an hour of walking in the dark before the others remembered where they dropped me off and picked me up. For that hour, all the bushes that rustled and all the silence except for my breathing just freaked me out.

Good narration. If there is something following you in the woods and the woods go silent it would be advised to never go back if you make it out alive. Yeah and then they make the most idiotic decision to go back. It's ok to go back in the woods but don't go into them alone, bring alot of protection, and go to different woods it's just common sense like you said. It honestly makes me lose faith in humanity alot of the times and I swear I lose brain cells everytime they do something stupid.

I really hope the people writing these stories would finally understand a dead deer won't smell bad for days or weeks after they die. The corpse doesn't start degradation quick enough for it to start smelling that bad for a few days if it's hot or weeks if its cold. Unless of course the bowels were ruptured or punctured. But if it's missing 2 legs with its neck ripped out there's no chance it was the bowels... so it smelling that bad either means it was a week or more old or (more likely) the person making up the story had no idea how corpse degradation works

If the thing behind the tree isn't any of the strictly man-eater creatures, I might try to communicate. Heck, some kinds of entities I've actually wished would appear. Losing a little humanity in a bargain for power wouldn't be so bad to me. I already feel a detachment from humankind anyway. My care for humans is a sort of pity for a species with so much squandered potential. It vexes my borderline OCD mindset, when something is achieving less than optimal performance.
