For people who really don't understand what the exercise of Jazz really is, this is really helpful. It's also an exercise in figuring out when it's time for _you_ to get off the Jazz train. Mine was on verse 5.

haha i used to play these kind of jazz odyssey improvisations at my dept store pianist job years ago. i'm sure people got sick of it but no one ever complained...and it definitely helped to stay sane when you have to play nothing but christmas music for a month.

It's twelve months until Christmas happens again, and I usually hate this song, but this is my new favorite video anyway.

The Day 9 rendition suddenly had me envisioning myself in the lounge of a snowed-in Holiday Inn somewhere in the Midwest on Christmas Eve.

I just kept thinking, "How could this get any jazzier?" and you just kept proving me wrong.

Thats actually a really old trend, my grandma had a vintage candle holder from the 30’s(?) maybe it was 1920’s but i dont remember. The candles are more for decorative use while the actual fires were for heat
