Nassau Bahamas (DOWNTOWN) tried to sale me a HAT for $50.00. I declined. He pushed it down to $40.00. I nicely said NAH I'M GOOD. He then said $20.00. I said LET ME LOOK AROUND SOME MORE. After that he said Give Me Whatever You Got. Nassau is very pushy in trying to sale you goods. At the front, a Taxi or Go Cart is $50 - $80. Further in I found out that you can get the same thing for around $10 - $20. Just be careful, & here's the Heads Up!!!

This is true, they are super-pushy in Nassau, it's almost as bad as Jamaica for that

Muster drill is a drill that no one remembers how to do when it’s over. I do it as soon as I get on the ship

The cost is so true! The wife and I are taking our first cruise in February and first cost was 1k for both of us after taxes and such. Our extra packages and excursions, hotels (driving down the day before and leaving the day after) and insurance, we've spent about 3k for a total of 8 days away from home... still cheaper than flying to a resort though!

Yall are doing the Lord's work let me tell ya! I'm going on my first cruise in April and I have been binging all of your videos. They're so helpful!

@bethanyh1537 t was changed since they restarted back up. I went last October and as soon as we got in board they directed us to our muster station. It took maybe 10 minutes and when we came out our rooms were ready. We got upstairs and watched the safety video on it tv while we unpacked. Quick and easy!

Given the most recent behavior on Carnival ships. I think it would be a great idea if you guys made a Travel Etiquette and Behavior tips video. We recently went on a cruise and the people in the comedy club were so obnoxious were the comedian had to call them out on it.

Thank you for all the information. I cannot tell people enough that the "real" cost of ANY vacation is all the costs incurred from the beginning. This is my first cruise and the travel agent put me in and aft cabin. I'm not prone to motion sickness but I have meds just in case something happens. AGAIN....thanks for the info.

Many people buy their trips a year in advance. They also get the jet skis and other excursions in advance too. When we arrived at our destination everything was sold out 😮😮. Buy early 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾😃

Thanks for educating me. You guys are the absolute best!! We are going on our very first cruise in February. We are driving down to Port Canaveral from the ATL. We will be on the Carnival Liberty for a short cruise just to see what it's like. If we like it, we will do one of the larger ships for a week late 2023 or early 2024.

Just got off my first cruise on the Valor, going on the Glory next Halloween. I admit i was overwhelmed. I did not see one comedy show, celebrated my birthday too hard and got enough sun that we went to bed early a couple of nights

I’m so happy I found you two. We have never cruises with carnival. Our first cruise with carnival will be in June 2023 out of NY. We always cruise with royal and Norwegian. I’m learning so much from you two. I love that your true. The good the bad and the ugly. Some of these other cruiser content creators seem a little biased about carnival and try and polish up carnival. You are right with the welcome drink. the welcome drink is the biggest scam. People get sucked in, while we walk right by. You also spot on with the excursions. It’s been a tradition to get a spot on the rail and watch the pier runners. You got guts. We got 20 years of cruising and I’ll be damn if we book with a third party excursion.

I took your advise and join Facebook group of my cruise dates and I can say BORING people are so dry and not active at all. so I will be looking and see if anymore groups on Facebook. People please join before booking to get a feel of some of the guest vibe and where most people are from. Thanks so much guys I will continue to support you........ Do you have any suggestions on how to search/get a specific room? I love the porthole rooms, but when I have selected specific cruises and go to the rooms sometimes they don't come up. Only interior, windows, balaconys, and the spa rooms come up

I am going on my first cruise in May for my wife and I 20th Aniversery. The way I personally look at the gratuity is that is to pay for the staff that assists me during the cruise, now if they do an outstanding job or go above and beyond there job for my wife and I then that is when you tip them.

I wouldn’t count on any of them to support FaceTime as it’s too unstable at sea. The best bet is the social media package and do WhatsApp etc

I booked a Halloween five day cruise with carnival and I have to tell you. I did everything that I could prior to booking. I have watched your videos and other videos on KZread as well. I had a not so good cruise from the first day. At first I thought it was me because it was my first cruise but after meeting well seasoned cruisers by the second night they too were upset. Theses people cruised out of Charleston on sunshine many times (4 or more) they said they didn’t understand what the hell was wrong this time because it is not that way. The food was basically the same on the buffet every day. Not good, not bad. I didn’t eat much at all. I lost four and a half lbs. The snorkeling and sail they made everyone ware a life jacket. Then the crew feed the fish so the fish would come to the top so we could see said fish! What the hell did I need fins for? The 555 steakhouse was a joke. I was given a complimentary complimentary slider that was the size of a nickel. Bun and all .😂 I could place it on my thumb nail literally. I guess because they called me Madam I was supposed to be impressed. Not. This was so bad on so many levels. It reminded me of your story of your first cruise. I can see if I didn’t pay for everything in advance and if I didn’t research anything. This makes no sense to me. I only gave you some highlights.

Please don’t get nervous. It may have been because of staff shortage and not being able to get supplies in. I am sure by May they will have all the corrections made by then. I just have that schlprock kind of luck . Please enjoy your cruise. For me my next cruise will be Royal Caribbean.who knows maybe it will be the same. I hope not but you never know.

Hi Im glad I found you. I have a few questions. I cruised 20 years ago. But my son (19) and myself are taking the carnival Horizon July 2023 to Aruba, DR and Bonair. We got a balcony room on 14th level spa suite. Going with sone friends and another is 2 rooms down. I’m worried about sea sickness. No other balconies available to change. Suggestions for the just in case senario? Also should we purchase the internet? And any suggestions on a good excursion? TIA

It depends on the location of your balcony but I’m sure you’ll be fine. Yes to the internet ✔️. Excursions are hard without knowing your likes and dislikes but read the descriptions and reviews and you’ll be ok.

The Horizon is massive compared to ships from 20 years ago, with newer stabilization technology, too. I don't want to say to not worry about seasickness, but I wouldn't stress too much either. Ive chummed the water a few times, myself, on smaller boats, but had no problems on these big ones.

What can I wear on sea days? I’m a jeans and tshirt girl.. and not to big a fan of swimming the whole time?

We are going on our first cruise to Nassau in January. What is there to do in Nassau? We were looking at carnival's excursions but we were unsure of what to book cause most of them didn't really interest us. Which ones would you recommend? The only servers that add gratuity is at the bars and prepaid gratuity doesn’t cover them so it’s fine
