I bought and installed the reedy 16 turn 1850 kv 5 pole motor and it is awesome. It is powerful, very quiet, can turn in either rotation, has adjustable timing, it can be rebuilt ... just wow. More torque and resolution than a 35 turn, but faster than my 21 turn traxxas motor. Best of both worlds for my opinion. I really appreciate the channel and objective reviews. Thanks!

I picked one up on Friday and tthis is my 1st crawler. All the crawler guys at our hobbytown in Milwaukee recommended it. After running with some people over the weekend...I was doing the same lines as vets with expensive rigs! I'm quite happy with it. I added a winch, front bumper, and some heavy wheels and it conquered all!

If you have a low budget... Hobbywing 1080 ESC and Holmes Hobbies Trailmaster Sport Brushed. 27 or 35 Turn... If you've got a BIG budget, Castle Mamba X Brushless Motor/ESC combo. There are a LOT of choices, many of them good... Those are just two that I know are proven performers, on both ends of the budget spectrum.

Real 4x4 trucks all have very slightly faster gears in front for driving in snowy or slick conditions. If they didn't, the truck would easily side track and would be difficult to keep going straight. It only makes sense to have that in an RC.

I have a feeling that the odd name came from the fact that the Chinese 1/12 Rig was sold under the "Associated" Brand, could have actually made the Bean Counters apprehensive.... Except for the RC10 b5, they've never really had a sales flop in their entire time as a Company! IF it failed, it might start hurting Buggy business. ..... I'm of course guessing. Hmmm. Overdrive axles yet they are not portals. Which makes no sense since that is something you do along with a DIG, 4 wheel steering, and so on. All for pure dedicated comp crawlers, not necessarily for a trail or scale crawlers. Even the tiny battery is an example of this, i don't get it. A trail crawler needs a bit of weight to look scale as it crawls, and the added battery is more than welcome for crawling on hiking trails. Or even a low and high speed transmission is welcome, so where is that on the team ASSociated? I find the cruise control more useful in a trail truck like on my Trx4 Bronco. And locking axles, to make those tight turns with open diffs, then switch to locked for mud or uphill. That's what makes a good scale crawler, not overdrive diffs for binding on high traction surfaces, and cheating. I can't believe you just mentioned a cheaters tool as a top positive attribute.
