Is it possible to restrict the inbound and outbound rules for the web app by placing the app inside a subnet and restricting the public access using nsg rules?? I was unable to block the ports using the nsg rules. But I want to make my api app and sql db private???

You need to use app service environment in that case, so you can bring your web app into vnet. And after that you can apply nsg rules.

Thank You so much for the content but I am facing one issue while creating Vnet peering ..... while I am trying to ping destination IP it is showing requested time out but while I am taking RDP for the same destination IP I am able to connect. Could you please answer my query

Ping is disabled by default in NSG rules. Add a rule with icmp protocol allowed.

Hi Brother In Private VM, i am unable to access the storage account(FILE SHARE) without internet. It's showing an error like TCP connectivity failed(NIC card which is associated for storage account). But when i deleted two outbound rules in private NSG. Through Internet i am able to access the storage account in Private VM. What the issue i am facing brother ????

You need to enable private endpoint on the storage account first, then enable the same for the subnet in which your vm running. It's solves the issue.

You can use the "reset password" option in vm settings to reset.
