Dubai is a city and emirate in UAE known for luxury shopping, ultramodern architecture and a lively nightlife scene. Burj Khalifa, an 830m-tall tower, dominates the skyscraper-filled skyline. At its foot lies Dubai Fountain, with jets and lights choreographed to music. On artificial islands just offshore is Atlantis, The Palm, a resort with water and marine-animal parks. Dubai is the most populated city in UAE and the capital of the Emirate of Dubai, the most populated of the 7 monarchies which together form the UAE. Established in the 18th century as a small fishing village, the city grew rapidly in the early 21st century with a focus on tourism and luxury, having the second most five-star hotels in the world, and the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa, which is over a half a mile tall.
Alcohol sale and consumption, though legal, is regulated. Adult non-Muslims are allowed to consume alcohol in licensed venues, typically within hotels, or at home with the possession of an alcohol licence. Places other than hotels, clubs, and specially designated areas are typically not permitted to sell alcohol. As in other parts of the world, drinking and driving is illegal, with 21 being the legal drinking age in the Emirate of Dubai. Dubai has one of the world's lowest violent crime rates, and in 2019 was ranked the seventh-safest city in the world.
As of 2013, only about 15% of the population of the emirate was made up of UAE nationals, with the rest comprising expatriates, many of whom either have been in the country for generations or were born in the UAE. Approximately 85% of the expatriate population was Asian, chiefly Indian (51%) and Pakistani (16%); other significant Asian groups include Bangladeshis (9%) and Filipinos (3%). A quarter of the population (local and foreign) reportedly traces their origins to Iran. In addition, 16% of the population (or 288,000 persons) living in collective labour accommodation were not identified by ethnicity or nationality, but were thought to be primarily Asian. 461,000 Westerners live in the UAE, making up 5.1% of its total population. There are over 100,000 British expatriates in Dubai, by far the largest group of Western expatriates in the city.
Dubai has large Christian, Hindu, Sikh, Baháʼí, Buddhist and other religious communities residing in the city, as well as a small but growing Jewish community. Non-Muslim groups can own their own houses of worship, where they can practice their religion freely, by requesting a land grant and permission to build a compound. Groups that do not have their own buildings are allowed to use the facilities of other religious organisations or worship in private homes. Non-Muslim religious groups are also permitted to advertise group functions openly and distribute various religious literature, however attempts to argue against Islam, or convert UAE nationals are forbidden (note that apostasy - leaving Islam - is punishable by death). Catholics are served pastorally by the Apostolic Vicariate of Southern Arabia. British preacher Reverend Andrew Thompson claimed that the UAE is one of the most tolerant places in the world towards Christians and that it is easier to be a Christian in the UAE than in the UK. On 5 April 2020, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced the building of one of their temples in Dubai. As part of the announcement, church President Russell M. Nelson said that “The plan for a temple in Dubai comes in response to their gracious invitation, which we gratefully acknowledge.”
One of the world's fastest growing economies, Dubai's gross domestic product is projected at US$107.1 billion, with a growth rate of 6.1% in 2014. Although a number of core elements of Dubai's trading infrastructure were built on the back of the oil industry, revenues from oil and natural gas account for less than 5% of the emirate's revenues. It is estimated that Dubai produces 50,000 to 70,000 barrels (7,900 to 11,100 m3) of oil a day and substantial quantities of gas from offshore fields. The emirate's share in the UAE's total gas revenues is about 2%. Dubai's oil reserves have diminished significantly and are expected to be exhausted in 20 years. Real estate and construction (22.6%), trade (16%), entrepôt (15%) and financial services (11%) are the largest contributors to Dubai's economy.

Zar je moguće da je istočni dio Dubaia tako prljav i neuredan , što se jasno vidi smeće po ulici grada . Zar je to mračna strana grada . Inače novi dio Dubaia je jako lijep i moderan . To je grad koji blista danju i noću . Dubai kotira kao jedan od najljepših gradova svijeta .

印象迪拜很牛逼，没想到迪拜还有这有这样的环境，哈哈应该向中国学习，中国没有任何一个地方是那样的，绝不允许有些地方干净和肮脏。因为中国是行政干预，有强大的垃圾回收污水处理能力和强大的治理自然环境和城市环境的卫生能力，此外还有考核奖励制度😂

what can i buy only nuts and dates and a few stones. I could not see nothing to my liking as everything is dull even the gold pieces is for their liking. No for me. No women in the street no children just because it is very hot. I prefer to go to the Carabian Isles.There is life there.

Il y a aussi le problème d intégration. Les étrangers arrivent dans un pays avec leurs costumes, modes de vies. L architectes ,les bâtiments et les rues sont modernes et bien, rien n empêche ses étrangers de bien tenir propre ses lieux et c'est le même problème de l Europe à l Amérique on trouve le même problème d intégration et des gens qui n en a rien à foutre ni de l hygiène, ni changement de comportement ni respect pour la terre d accueil et continuent à vivre comme chez eux, tu les mets dans un bel endroit et ils le transforment en bidon ville, malheureusement. Les mentalités ça peut changer si on met du sien 😮
